What should children eat for herpetic pharyngitis

In addition to the general dry pharyngitis, there is also a type of pharyngitis called herpetic pharyngitis, which is mainly caused by viral infection, leading to inflammation and ulceration in the throat. It is a febrile disease. Patients must pay attention to keeping the room ventilated to avoid cross infection, which will further aggravate the problem. At the same time, treatment should be combined with the doctor's advice to help solve the problem more quickly. We also need to pay more attention to diet.

During the treatment, children must get enough rest. Parents must not let their children do some strenuous exercise. They must get enough sleep and drink plenty of water every day. It is best to eat small meals frequently and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. They should not eat raw, cold or irritating foods. They should also eat less cooler foods and keep their diet as light as possible.

Because this disease is prone to cause symptoms of high fever, children must drink plenty of water, drink more soup or porridge, eat more nutritious and easily digestible food, eat some soy products and lean meat, drink milk or some fiber-rich foods to avoid constipation in children.

In terms of diet, you must not eat spicy food, nor eat overheated or overly cold food to avoid irritation to the mouth and pain. You can eat some food that has the effect of clearing heat and detoxifying, such as some mung bean soup, some bitter gourd or coix rice and other foods.

After a child falls ill, treatment must be strengthened and the child must be isolated for at least two weeks during treatment to avoid cross infection. Used tableware and many daily necessities must be disinfected. Although there is currently no specific medicine for treatment, good results can be achieved through the treatment of both Chinese and Western medicine.

Herpetic pharyngitis is a common disease caused by enterovirus in infants and young children. It is highly contagious and is most common in summer. Children aged 1 to 7 should be prevented from infection with this disease. In addition to paying attention to the treatment of herpetic pharyngitis, it is necessary to strengthen the dietary conditioning of herpetic pharyngitis, eat more easily digestible, light and nutritious foods, and get enough rest during the conditioning and treatment period.
