At what age can a child speak clearly

When babies are born, they can only cry. When they grow up, they start to learn to speak from adults. The process of babies learning to speak requires parents to teach them patiently. During this period, babies must not be taught to develop bad language habits. The growth of babies is closely related to the family environment. When babies learn to speak slowly, they will become more and more proficient in the language environment they are in. So at what age can children speak clearly?

Making sounds is a high-level nervous activity unique to humans. From the moment babies are born, they begin to constantly communicate messages with adults. The general process of the human vocalization stage is: newborns will cry as soon as they are born, make guttural sounds at 2 months, babbling and laughing at 3-4 months, making single sounds at 5-6 months, unconsciously making double sounds such as "mom and dad" at 7-9 months, imitating adult actions at 10-12 months, and being able to name objects and their own names at 1-1.5 years old.

Babies usually start to speak between 9 and 12 months old, which is the stage when they learn to speak. Babies begin to imitate adults' pronunciation, begin to associate words with corresponding things, and begin to understand the meaning of words. Before the baby is one and a half years old, he mainly says one or two words. The baby may use "maimao" to express what he wants to express, such as "I want to wear a hat".

Although these words cannot express the baby's meaning very well and the pronunciation is unclear and difficult to understand, they are all part of the baby's transitional stage of speech accumulation. After the baby is one and a half years old, his vocabulary increases significantly when speaking, the range of word categories expands significantly, and he can even speak sentences consisting of multiple words. Although these sentences are simple at first, the baby has begun to use sentences to express his meaning, which is a great improvement.

2 to 3 years old is the critical period for babies' oral language development. During this period, babies learn spoken language very quickly and are eager to learn to speak.

How to guide your baby to speak

In daily life, parents should talk and communicate with their babies as much as possible. Do not deliberately communicate in the same way as your baby. The pronunciation and content of the conversation between mom and dad and your baby should be as accurate and clear as possible. This is the most important moment in your baby's enlightenment education. Let your child learn more accurate pronunciation and better cultivate the development of your baby's logical thinking.

After the baby begins to express his emotions, what adults need to learn is to listen and communicate. Understand what your baby says and give appropriate guidance. At this time, patience is often the key. Don't think that the child is making trouble just because you don't understand what the child says. Every word a child says during his or her growth is meaningful. They will lay the foundation for the child, so it is important to let the child talk more and express more.
