Can a baby girl's hernia heal on its own?

Although the incidence of hernia in baby girls is not high, once it occurs, it will have a great impact on the child's health. Some children's hernias will be relieved to a certain extent as they grow and develop, but if it is more serious, it must be treated promptly and formally. For example, if there is a lump in the groin area shortly after birth, it is necessary to check and receive formal treatment in time.

Can a baby girl's hernia heal on its own?

Hernia in children is a disease that cannot heal itself. This disease must be treated surgically to have hope of recovery. This disease is a minor surgical disease. As long as the surgery is done, the patient will recover completely, and the chance of recurrence of this disease is also very small.

What are the symptoms of baby hernia?

1. Shortly after a baby is born, there will be a reversible mass in the groin area. In addition to being able to see or feel the mass, some of it will even drop to the scrotum area. After a hernia occurs in a child, there will usually be a protruding mass in the groin when the child is crying, exercising vigorously, or has dry stools. It may sometimes extend to the scrotum or labia area and disappear on its own when the child lies flat or is pressed with the hands.

2. If the tumor cannot be returned to the abdominal cavity, abdominal pain will worsen, the patient will cry incessantly, and then symptoms of intestinal obstruction such as vomiting, abdominal distension, and difficulty in defecation will appear. An oval tumor can be seen in the groin or scrotum, with a hard texture and obvious tenderness. If the intestine cannot be returned for a long time, serious complications such as intestinal ischemia and necrosis may occur.

3. At the same time, once the hernia mass of a child becomes incarcerated (the hernia mass cannot be reduced), the child will experience abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, fever, anorexia, or crying and irritability.

4. The clinical symptoms of hernia in boys among children are mainly a reducible protrusion in the inguinal area to form a mass, which can also extend to the top of the scrotum or enter the scrotum at the hernia ring. In girls, hernia is more likely to occur in the inguinal protuberance, above the pubic symphysis.

Can a baby girl's hernia heal itself? With the above specific analysis, everyone has a general understanding of the self-healing nature of hernia. I hope everyone can maintain their health in daily life. Once a disease problem occurs, they need to go to a regular hospital for treatment. Only by listening to the doctor's treatment plan can the hernia problem be solved faster.
