What to do if your child is too active

What to do if your child is too active

Exercise is a child's nature. Babies perceive the world during activities and exercise their abilities. When children explore the world, parents must not stop their behavior. Otherwise, not only will the child not listen, but he or she will also be obsessed with trying it. For many things, only if you perceive them yourself can you understand their nature and use. What you learn from books is always shallow. You must practice them yourself to truly understand them.

Understand the inner demands of children. Children are active because they want to get more attention. Since other good behaviors do not get their parents' attention in time, they use being active as a way to get their parents' attention. Some children will be more active when there are guests or in crowded places. In fact, this is a desire to show off, to get other people's attention through performance. There is too little attention paid to children's inner world. As parents, we should not simply blame our children for their jumping around and being overly active, but should first recognize why their children behave like this. The child’s ability is too weak. He doesn’t know what the correct way is, nor does he know how to control himself.

Children are restricted too much. Have you said too many "no", "must not", "can't", "don't" to your child... When the child wants to explore the world, you are afraid that the child will get hurt, so you forbid him to do that. When we say too many "no", the child not only does not listen, but does those things more wantonly. The more you say "no", even yell at him, the quieter he will be, but after a while he will start to make trouble again. In fact, children also have self-esteem. When you accuse them of doing something wrong, have you ever thought about whether your approach is correct? When you restrict his freedom, have you ever thought that he will become more rebellious? Yelling will never make a child completely obedient in his heart.

Parents' irritability affects their children. Think about it carefully, do you always act irritable in front of your child? Are you absent-minded when he talks to you? Instead of speaking gently and softly on the phone, you get furious at just one word. Children have a strong ability to imitate. He may be aware of how you deal with things, and he can also sense your inner emotional instability. This unreliability and instability of yours is also passed on to him, so he also becomes active, unable to sit still, and unable to stop.

Children use this behavior to express themselves. The child does not know how to express his needs, so he expresses himself in this way. If parents can understand this way of expression, they will not blame the child for not being able to sit still for a quarter of an hour. If parents can tell their children’s inner thoughts, such as: Mom knows what you want to...right? The child will be understood and his heart will become calm.

A child's activity is part of his or her personality. Don't always deny this part of your child's character and make him feel unaccepted. When you keep hinting that he is an active child, you will find that he becomes more active than before. Try to change your approach. Stop telling him how bad he is. Praise his good side. When he is patient, even if he is just quiet for a short while, praise him immediately and tell him the right way. Gradually, the child will calm down.

Don't interrupt your child when he is concentrating on doing something. A child's concentration can be well cultivated when he is doing something, so let him complete a task quietly. Many children cannot sit still or concentrate when they grow up. In fact, it is because their concentration was not well cultivated when they were young. Parents should take their children for walks outdoors more often. Active children generally have more energy, and this can help them consume some energy while strengthening the parent-child relationship.
