Can I breastfeed while sleeping?

Mothers who have just given birth are weak and sleepy every day. However, because the baby needs to drink milk every two hours, they have to support their tired bodies to feed the baby. Therefore, many people will lie down to breastfeed at this time. This posture will cause the baby to drink from one breast. If necessary, the mother must learn to adjust the posture. In the later stages, it is best to feed while sitting down to prevent the baby from choking. Working women should also learn how to store breast milk and not feed their babies spoiled milk.

For various reasons, many mothers have to express and save their breast milk for their babies. For example, if the mother has to take medicine in the next few days, she can express and save the breast milk in advance. For example, if there is a lot on a certain day, you can squeeze out some and save it. The most common situation is that the baby is still breastfeeding, but the mother has to go to work. In that case, the mother can only squeeze out the breast milk and store it separately. In this way, the baby can still drink breast milk even when the mother is at work. So how should breast milk be preserved? Let me tell you ~

Tools/Raw Materials

Sealed glass bottle

Bottle

Breast milk storage bags

Methods/Steps

If you use a baby bottle or a glass bottle, the first thing you need to ensure is that it is airtight and hygienic, so you must sterilize it with high temperature before use. You can put it in the microwave for one minute to sterilize it, or boil it in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes. Or we can choose disposable breast milk storage bags, which do not need to be sterilized, but are not environmentally friendly~

Expressed breast milk can be stored at room temperature of 15℃ for 24 hours; at room temperature of 19℃-22℃ for 10 hours; and at room temperature of 25℃ for 6 hours.

If you are worried, you can also store it in the refrigerator. It can be stored in the refrigerator at 0-4℃ for 8 days.

If we want the food to last longer, we can even choose to freeze it. If it is a freezer separate from the refrigerator, but the door is opened and closed frequently to take items out, the shelf life will be 3 to 4 months. If it is in a deep freezer, the temperature is kept below 0℃ and the door is not opened often, the shelf life can be more than 6 months. Isn't it amazing? Hehe~

Breast milk taken out from room temperature or the refrigerator must be heated with warm water at about 40 degrees before it can be given to the baby. When thawing frozen breast milk, you should first rinse the bottle with cold water, then gradually add hot water until the breast milk is completely thawed and reaches a temperature suitable for feeding, or place it in the refrigerator to slowly thaw and defrost.

Thawed breast milk must be consumed within 24 hours and cannot be re-frozen or reheated.
