Causes of vomiting in children aged 4 to 5 years

Children aged 4 to 5 are very naughty. They run and jump every day and do not eat obediently. This often causes them to spit out a lot of air into their stomachs while eating. In this case, children are prone to vomiting. When children have this problem, parents should deal with it in time according to the cause of the child's vomiting.

Causes of vomiting in children aged 4 to 5 years

Vomiting can be caused by many reasons. If it is caused by fever, headache, and vomiting, you should go to the hospital immediately. This is a sign of encephalitis or meningitis. If it is just vomiting, it is probably because you have eaten something bad. If a child keeps vomiting, he will soon become dehydrated and have electrolyte imbalance, and will need intravenous rehydration. He will not be able to drink oral fluids. Another method is to drink ginger and brown sugar water. Ginger can stop vomiting.

What is the cure for vomiting?

1. After the child vomits, let him drink something in small sips to help swallowing. Don't let him drink too much at once. Drinks like cola are fine, but it's best to drink them after they have no bubbles. These drinks are available everywhere, so you can get your fix even when you’re away on vacation.

2. It would be better if diarrhea and vomiting were properly treated with oral rehydration salt solution. After a bout of vomiting, wait a while before giving your child these things to drink. If a child drinks immediately after vomiting, he will definitely vomit again.

3. Temporarily fast. Generally speaking, vomiting in babies is mostly caused by digestive system dysfunction. Therefore, after the baby vomits, parents can temporarily fast the baby to allow the stomach to have some free time and rest so that it is not overloaded. If your baby's condition improves after a few hours, you can resume feeding. If the condition does not improve, you can continue fasting and give liquid food.

4. Seek medical attention promptly. If the baby’s condition is serious and cannot be cured quickly but becomes more serious, or is accompanied by other symptoms, parents should report the situation to the doctor in a timely manner so that the right medicine can be prescribed.
