How to prevent colds in adults and babies

It is indeed very easy for adults to catch a cold, and they can recover by taking some medicine. However, it is very troublesome for many children, because babies cannot be given medicine casually for their colds. Even if they go to the hospital for treatment, parents are worried that long-term infusion will destroy the child's body resistance. In addition, children will feel particularly uncomfortable when they have a cold, and parents will also be anxious. When adults catch a cold, they are very worried that it will be transmitted to children, so prevention has become a problem that many people are concerned about.

To improve your baby's resistance, do the following:

1. Provide sufficient nutrition: Children are in a continuous growth and development stage, and their requirements for nutrients are relatively large. If they are malnourished, their resistance will be relatively poor, so it is necessary to ensure balanced nutrition.

2. Give your baby more water; because drinking more water can promote your baby's metabolism and improve resistance.

3. Let your baby bask in the sun more often: reduce your baby’s calcium deficiency.

4. Exercise outdoors more often, breathe more fresh air, and avoid crowded places.

5. Ensure adequate sleep.

6. You can give your baby some colostrum and prebiotics.

Foods that can improve your baby's immunity include:

1. Breast milk: Breast milk is not only the best food for children's physical and intellectual development, but also has the effect of preventing colds.

2. Foods rich in vitamin A. Lack of VA in children's bodies in winter and spring is a major cause of respiratory infections.

3. Foods rich in VA include carrots, amaranth, spinach, pumpkin, red and yellow fruits, animal liver, milk, etc. If necessary, VA preparations can be taken orally under the guidance of a doctor.

4. Foods rich in zinc. Zinc is the "nemesis" of many viruses. Eating more zinc-rich foods during the cold season can help the body resist cold viruses because it can directly inhibit the proliferation of viruses.

Meat, seafood and poultry are the richest sources of zinc. In addition, various beans, nuts and seeds are also good zinc-containing foods and can be chosen.

5. Foods rich in vitamin C. VC can indirectly promote antibody synthesis and enhance immunity. All kinds of fresh green leafy vegetables and fruits are good foods for supplementing VC.

6. Foods rich in iron. Lack of iron in the body can cause impaired production of T-lymphocytes and B-lymphocytes, reduced immune function, and difficulty in fighting cold viruses. Foods such as animal blood, milk, eggs, spinach, and meat can supplement iron.
