Poor spleen and stomach is a problem that many children have. This problem will affect the child's body's absorption of nutrients, and will hinder the child's normal development and growth. If a child has a bad spleen and stomach, it can be adjusted through massage. Specific massage techniques include: pinching the spine, pushing the spleen meridian points, pressing and rubbing the four horizontal lines, pressing and rubbing the Banmen point, massaging the palms, massaging the abdomen, rubbing the Yongquan point, etc. 1. ChiropracticUse the middle finger, ring finger and little finger of both hands to make a fist, half-bend the index finger, extend the thumb, then pinch the skin on the child's back about 0.5 to 1 cm, and push upwards along both sides of the spine from the Changqiang point (3 to 5 cm above the anus) while pinching and releasing, all the way to the Dazhui point (the bony protrusion behind the neck at the level of the shoulder). Each time of pinching the spine should not be too long, 3 to 5 minutes is appropriate. It has the effect of enhancing the spleen and stomach functions. 2. Push the spleen meridian points The spleen meridian point is on the radial side of the child's thumb. During the operation, the operator pinches the child's four fingers with the left thumb and index finger, dips the right thumb in talcum powder, and pushes the child's spleen meridian point straightly from the tip of the thumb to the base of the thumb, pushes 60 to 120 times, pushes straight in one direction, and should not push back and forth. It has the effect of strengthening the spleen and stomach. 3. Press and knead the four horizontal lines The Four Horizontal Lines acupoint is located on the transverse lines of the first interphalangeal joints of the index, middle, ring and little fingers on the palm. During the operation, the operator holds the child's fingers with his left hand, and presses and rubs the four transverse lines acupoints with the index finger or middle finger of his right hand for about 2 to 3 minutes; the four transverse lines acupoints can also be pushed, and the four fingers of the child are put together. The operator uses the thumb of his right hand to push from the transverse line of the child's index finger to the transverse line of the little finger, and pushes 50 to 100 times. It has the effects of regulating qi, promoting the circulation of qi, harmonizing qi and blood, and eliminating bloating.
Banmen acupoint is located on the thenar eminence of a child’s palm. During the operation, the operator holds the child's fingers with his left hand, dips the right thumb in talcum powder, and presses and rubs the Banmen acupoint. When massaging, you can do it clockwise or counterclockwise; you can also use the pushing method. Pushing from the base of the thumb to the transverse wrist line can stop diarrhea, and pushing from the transverse wrist line to the base of the thumb can stop vomiting. Pushing back and forth can adjust the spleen and stomach function. Massage for 2 to 3 minutes, pushing 50 to 100 times. 5. Massage the palms During the operation, the operator holds the child's fingers with his left hand, dips the right thumb in talcum powder, and massages the child's palm 50 to 100 times, either clockwise or counterclockwise. It has an antiemetic effect.
The child lies supinely, and the operator uses the four fingers or palm of his right hand to make circular motions on the child's abdomen with the navel as the center. Massage in the direction of the large intestine is purgative and suitable for those with dry stools; massage against the direction of the large intestine is tonifying and suitable for those with loose stools. Generally, people choose to massage in half in the direction of the large intestine and half in the direction of the large intestine, and massage about 50 to 100 times. During the operation, the technique should not be too heavy, but should be appropriate; the operator's hands should not be too cold, but should be warm. It has the function of regulating the spleen and stomach. 7. Rub the Yongquan acupoint The Yongquan point is located in the center of the depression in front of the sole of the foot when the toes are flexed. The operator rubs the point with the tip of the middle finger, index finger or thumb, and can press and rub in clockwise or counterclockwise directions. Massage for 2 to 3 minutes. It has the effects of stopping vomiting and diarrhea, and regulating the spleen and stomach. |
