How to treat pinworm disease in children

I believe that many mothers do not know the cause of pinworm disease in children. The main reason is that they do not know where the fungus lives and how to prevent it. So mothers can learn about the content introduced in this article to increase everyone’s understanding of pinworm disease in children. Pinworm disease in children mainly occurs as an infection in the anus of children. Because pinworms bite the anus and intestines of children at night, we need to pay attention to anal hygiene.

1. Use cotton wool to treat pinworms : If a child suffers from pinworm disease, anal itching is the main symptom, and the symptoms are most obvious at night when sleeping. In addition to changing your baby's clothes frequently, cutting his nails frequently, and washing hands before meals, cotton wool is also effective in treating pinworms.

Crumple a small amount of cotton wool into a ball, and insert it into the child's anus to a depth of about 1 cm. Insert the cotton wool between 8 and 10 pm. When the child wakes up at night, take out the cotton wool and burn it. The principle of using cotton wool to treat pinworm disease is that pinworms will lay eggs in the patient's anus at night. After encountering cotton fibers, they will drill into them and cannot get out, so they can only lay their eggs in the cotton wool. When less fire is used, it is equivalent to preventing the pinworms from reproducing and growing.

2. Food therapy

(1) Pumpkin seeds and pomegranate root bark for pinworms

Ingredients: 1 liang pumpkin seeds, half liang pomegranate root bark

Steps: First grind the pumpkin seeds with shells into powder, then wash the pomegranate root skin, boil it in water, let it cool down, and then drink it.

Dosage and administration: 1 liang each time, twice a day, drink on an empty stomach in the morning and evening, for two consecutive days. Children should take half the dose.

Onion and honey can treat pinworms: first dip a piece of clean fresh onion in honey, then gently insert it into the anus of a sleeping child. The scent of the honey will attract the pinworms to gather and eat, and then they will be poisoned to death. The effect will be significant if treated for several nights in a row.

3. Vinegar and cotton balls to treat pinworms: Pinworms will lay eggs in the anus of children at night, causing unbearable itching in the anus. At this time, you can insert a cotton ball dipped in vinegar into the anus. It is best to apply it when the pinworms crawl outside the child's anus to lay eggs, that is, when the anus feels itchy. Most patients can be cured of pinworm disease by scrubbing the anus with a cotton ball dipped in vinegar for 3 to 5 days.
