Can oily ears indicate body odor?

Can oily ears indicate body odor?

Many people confuse the symptoms of body odor. Patients with body odor usually have oily ears, but friends with oily ears do not necessarily suffer from body odor. If a baby has oily ears, it does not mean that the baby has inherited body odor, so parents do not need to be too nervous. Diseases like body odor can be treated with current medical methods.

Does oily ears necessarily mean body odor?

There are two types of ears: dry ears and oily ears. From a health point of view, there is nothing wrong with oily ears. Oily ears are a normal physiological type. The cerumen glands in the skin of the external auditory canal secrete a yellowish, sometimes sticky substance, commonly known as earwax, and called cerumen in medicine. Earwax dries easily when exposed to the air and forms small pieces. Most of them fall out when the jaw joint moves while chewing and opening the mouth. Some people have sticky earwax, commonly known as oily ears or sugary ears. Oily ears means you have oily skin. It is a physical problem, not a disease, and it is difficult to change.

In addition to oily ears, body odor also has the following symptoms :

1. The odor of body odor symptoms. It has a fox urine odor that worsens with fever and activity. Related symptoms. The manifestation of body odor is to observe the earwax to see whether it is sugary ear, oily ear similar to otitis media, or wet and sticky ear.

2. Sweating under the armpits with yellow sweat is a common symptom of body odor. It will only emit odor after being decomposed by bacteria. Keeping the body clean can reduce bacterial growth and prevent body odor from occurring. You can take a shower two to three times a day with disinfectant (such as Dettol) or disinfectant soap. If you are at work and cannot take a shower frequently, you should also clean your armpits regularly. If you sweat a lot after exercise, you should take a shower as soon as possible, otherwise bacteria will grow and multiply, making the odor even stronger.

3. When the ambient temperature of a patient with body odor is high or the patient is in a nervous mood, the armpits will sweat abnormally and excessively, and emit an unpleasant odor. Excessive sweating and body odor will turn clothes yellow and leave a lingering smell, causing trouble in cleaning. The symptoms of body odor are most obvious during adolescence and tend to be aggravated in the hot summer.

4. The armpit sweat of patients with body odor is sticky, and the underwear has an odor and is yellow. Therefore, this is also one of the clinical manifestations of body odor. The clinical manifestations of body odor worsen during adolescence, and the smell of body odor becomes more obvious. The yellow sweat from the armpits will only emit an odor after being decomposed by bacteria. Keeping the body clean can reduce bacterial growth and prevent the symptoms of body odor.

5. The apocrine glands of the human body are mainly distributed in the armpits, wings of the nose, external auditory canal, groin, perineum, etc. The apocrine glands begin to be active under the influence of endocrine system during puberty. Therefore, axillary odor usually begins during puberty and decreases or disappears in old age. In addition to water, lipids, iron, fluorescent substances, colored substances, etc., the apocrine sweat glands also secrete a special odorous substance.

The odor caused by underarm odor is due to the unsaturated fatty acids produced by the decomposition of odorous substances secreted by the apocrine glands and various bacteria in this area. If drugs are used to kill bacteria so that they cannot produce enough unsaturated fatty acids, the odor will not occur.
