How to quickly treat toothache in children

As the saying goes, "Toothache is not a disease, but it can be fatal." Whether you have cavities or wisdom teeth, you have experienced toothache, which can turn your beautiful life into a gloomy situation in a minute. Teeth are very close to the brain in the mouth, and even the slightest discomfort will be detected by the "headquarters". Children's endurance is weaker than that of adults, and because their bodies are not fully developed, they cannot take many medicines and cannot quickly and effectively relieve pain. Many parents and friends wish they could sacrifice themselves to relieve their children's pain from toothache. Below we introduce several methods to relieve toothache in children, hoping it will be helpful to you.

1. Several types of toothache

1. Toothache in children caused by trauma. It is common for children to accidentally fall and injure their teeth. Sometimes they bite on gravel or bones while eating, causing traumatic apical periodontitis and pain.

Solution: If the tooth is just a little loose, then you just need to take some anti-inflammatory drugs and let the affected tooth rest for a week; if the tooth is broken, you need to ask the doctor to extract the exposed dental nerve under anesthesia and then fill the tooth or extract it.

2. Tooth decay causes pain: Tooth decay is a common cause of toothache, especially in children.

Solution: If the cavity is shallow, you can go directly to the hospital for filling. If the cavity is deep, the dental nerve needs to be deactivated before filling.

3. Pain caused by inflammation of the dental pulp nerve: The toothache caused by pulpitis is particularly obvious at night, and children often cry all night and cannot fall asleep.

Solution: Take your child to the dental hospital immediately and let the doctor use a dental drill to grind the tooth open. Add some anti-inflammatory and analgesic medicine and the problem will be cured and the pain will be relieved immediately.

4. Pain caused by apical periodontitis: In addition to pain, there is also redness and swelling of tooth caries, floating teeth, and in severe cases, swelling of the face, swollen submandibular lymph nodes, and fever symptoms.

Solution: Go to a professional dental hospital and ask the doctor to grind open the affected tooth to drain the pus, take antibiotics orally or intramuscularly, change the dressing repeatedly until the inflammation is completely eliminated, and then do a filling to repair the tooth.

2. Simple emergency remedies

1. Take garlic, mash it, apply it to the painful area after warming it up to treat symptoms such as pulpitis, periodontitis and toothache.

2. Dissolve MSG in warm water at a concentration of 1:50, hold the solution in your mouth for a while and then spit it out. Do this several times in a row, and after two days the toothache will be cured.

3. When you have a toothache, you can cut a small piece of ginger and bite it on the painful area. You can reuse it when necessary, and it is also okay to hold it in your mouth when you sleep. This is a very safe and reliable recipe.

4. Put 100 grams of ordinary white wine into a teacup and add 10 grams of salt; stir, and after the salt is dissolved, put it on the stove and boil it. Hold a mouthful of it at the painful area, be careful not to swallow it, and the toothache will stop immediately.

5. Rinse mouth: Let your child take a sip of water and then rinse his mouth vigorously.

6. Hand massage: This method can relieve 50% of the pain. Rub a piece of ice on the "V" area between the thumb and index finger bones, and gently press the ice on this area for 5-7 minutes. A Canadian researcher found that 60-90% of people who used this method experienced relief from toothache. His research showed that this friction method can interfere with the transmission of toothache nerve impulses.

The above methods can effectively solve the problem of toothache in children. In addition, toothache in children can also cause other conditions, such as fever. In this case, it is best to take your baby to the hospital for treatment. The above methods are not suitable for solving the fever problem caused by toothache in babies.
