What could be the reason for high blood levels in babies?

Many people don’t know what high blood count means. In fact, it is easy to understand. It means that the level of white blood cells in the blood is relatively high. When people do a routine blood test, they will check the level of white blood cells. If it is obviously high, it is called a high blood count. For example, a bacterial infection will cause the blood count in the body to be high. So what may be the reasons for the baby's high blood count?

First, what is the reason for the baby’s high blood test items?

High blood count is usually caused by bacterial infection. It is possible that drug resistance has developed due to incomplete treatment. It may also be caused by a specific viral infection like infectious mononucleosis!

It may even be a connective tissue disease or a blood disease. It is best to go to the hospital for detailed examination and treatment

Second, high blood count generally refers to high white blood cell count. Leukocytosis:

1. Physiological increase is seen in newborns, infants, pregnancy, delivery, menstruation, exercise, cold, after meals, emotional excitement, etc.

2. Pathological increase is seen in bacterial infection, bleeding, hemolysis, leukemia, malignant tumors, etc.

Third, what does high blood count mean?

High blood items mean high white blood cell count in routine blood test, mainly due to high proportion of neutrophils in white blood cells; routine urine white blood cell count refers to the white blood cells among the three types of cells in routine urine test. Normal urine may contain a small amount of white blood cells. Generally, the number of white blood cells per high-power field (HP) of centrifuged urine is 1 to 2, which is still normal. If there are more than 5 white blood cells per high-power field, it is called microscopic pyuria. Microscopic pyuria indicates purulent inflammation of the urethra, such as pyelonephritis, cystitis or urethritis, renal tuberculosis, etc. In glomerulonephritis, the number of white blood cells in the urine may also increase slightly.

Fourth, it is usually caused by bacterial infection and can be easily cured with antibiotics.

Urinalysis white blood cell test is a test to check the white blood cells among the three types of cells in urine routine examination.
