What should I do if my child kicks off the quilt when sleeping?

Babies always kick off the quilt when they sleep. Adults are always afraid that their children will catch a cold and not sleep well, so they cover them with quilts over and over again. You can choose sleeping bags made of different materials for your baby according to different seasons. This way you don’t have to worry about the baby kicking off the quilt. Kicking off the quilt is because the baby is uncomfortable. You can also help the baby turn over.

1. Sleeping Bag

The best way to prevent your baby from kicking off the quilt when sleeping at night is of course to buy him a sleeping bag. It saves time, effort and is convenient. You don’t have to get up so many times at night. The most important thing is that babies like it very much. Of course, when buying a sleeping bag, it is best to buy one that is suitable based on the baby's size, shape, function, and material.

2. Belly

It is common for babies to kick off the quilt. Cover the baby's belly with a bath towel and then cover it with a quilt so that you don't have to worry about the baby's stomach getting cold due to kicking off the quilt. It is best to cover the baby with a small quilt separately and press the two ends of the quilt into the mattress.

The key is to prevent the stomach from getting cold, so just turn the quilt horizontally over the child's upper body. The principle is to prefer coolness to heat. Children's colds are usually caused by covering themselves up.

3. Turn over

Because the baby has difficulty breathing when sleeping on her back, she will keep kicking the quilt. Try to help her turn over.

4. Fold the Quilt

Find a quilt for adults, fold it in half using the short side as the reference, and place it on the baby's crib. That is, half of the quilt is used for padding and the other half is used for covering. After the baby falls asleep, find two larger clips to clip the two short sides.

5. Protect your belly

Buy a belt specifically for warming the stomach and abdomen, wrap it around your stomach when you sleep at night, then tie the quilt with a rope and expose your feet, so you don't have to worry about catching a cold.

Cover the baby with two layers of quilt. Use a thin layer to cover the baby's belly. Make sure to cover the part above the calf to expose the feet to reduce the possibility of kicking off. Then cover the whole body with a thinner layer. In this way, even if the outer layer is kicked off, the inner layer is still left, which at least protects the lower abdomen.

6. Block the surrounding

If the baby sleeps in a small bed, you can clamp the outer layer around with bed rings, but clamp it higher and not below the calf, the effect will be better.
