Symptoms of kidney disease in children

To treat children's kidney disease, we must first understand its symptoms so that we can better treat it and customize a treatment plan. Whether it is children's kidney disease or adult kidney disease, the early symptoms are not obvious. The early symptoms of kidney disease in children are not very obvious and are not easy to detect. In many cases, it is already too late once it is discovered. Some have even reached the late stage of renal failure or uremia.

The characteristic of children's swollen eyelids is that they are more obvious when they wake up in the morning and decrease after activities. The main cause of eyelid swelling in the early stages of kidney disease in children is: the kidney's water excretion and regulation function is damaged, which causes an increase in water and sodium in the body of children with kidney disease. Excess water accumulates in the loose tissues of the body, and the eyelids are the area with more loose tissues. The characteristic of eyelid swelling is that it is more obvious when you wake up in the morning and decreases after activities.

Hematuria is a common and serious symptom of kidney disease in children, and it is also a symptom that is difficult to detect because hematuria can be divided into macroscopic hematuria and microscopic hematuria. Gross hematuria is hematuria visible to the naked eye. The urine is meat-washing water-like, turbid and red. Some children with kidney disease have blood streaks or blood clots in their urine. Microscopic hematuria can only be found under a microscope, with more than one occult blood (bld) per high-power field of view. Hematuria is the most common symptom in most children with chronic kidney disease. Of course, there are many causes of hematuria, and kidney disease is just one of them.
