Treatment of cerebral palsy in children:

1. Exercise therapy

Children with cerebral palsy have different clinical classifications and receive targeted rehabilitation training, including training in gross motor skills, fine motor skills, balance, and coordination.

2. Occupational therapy and training in self-care skills

Occupational therapy focuses more on the mastery of upper limb functions and daily life movements and the improvement of intelligence. Its method is to enable children to perform coordinated body movements unintentionally through games and occupational activities, so as to achieve the goal of self-care in life. Children can acquire motor skills through occupational therapy, and can prevent secondary sensory disorders caused by motor function development disorders and promote the development of the whole body and mind. It is actually a kind of learning and mastering of survival skills.

3. Physical therapy

Children with cerebral palsy receive physical therapy, such as electroacupuncture, muscle stimulation therapy device, hydrotherapy, hot and cold compresses, etc. The main purpose is to regulate function, relieve spasticity, stimulate low muscle tone, promote circulation, maintain and expand joint range of motion, increase muscle strength, and thus improve balance and gait. There are many specific methods, and the hospital will make the choice based on family conditions and the child's condition.

Parents should have confidence that children with cerebral palsy can be cured, and society will provide certain assistance to these children. However, the most important thing is for parents to carefully observe their children's health status. If there is any problem, they must be sent to the hospital. After all, children's immunity is not as good as that of adults. Therefore, parents must take good care of their babies.
