What should children pay attention to when they have nausea and stomach pain

Children always do not eat on time, so it affects their stomach and they often experience nausea and stomach pain. The main cause of this disease is dietary problems, so the treatment of children's nausea and stomach pain must also start with diet, but parents are not aware of their children's dietary problems. Therefore, professionals should provide the following introduction to parents’ dietary requirements for their children to help children cure stomachache fundamentally.

Although stomachache can be caused by many diseases, the most common diseases are chronic gastritis and peptic ulcer. Since these two diseases are chronic, fluctuating, difficult to cure or easy to relapse, it is particularly important to regulate the diet for patients with stomachache. The dietary requirements for patients with stomachache are as follows:

1. First of all, we must correct bad eating habits. Eat more light foods and less fatty, sweet and irritating foods, such as foods containing alcohol and spices. Be careful about food that is too sour, too sweet, too salty, too bitter, or too spicy, and do not have a preference for any of the five flavors. Patients who have a smoking habit should quit smoking.

2. Eat at regular times and in regular amounts. Patients with long-term stomach pain should have three meals a day or snacks on time, with reasonable intervals between them. Patients with acute stomach pain should try to eat small meals frequently, and should eat less or no snacks on weekdays to reduce the burden on the stomach.

3. Pay attention to nutritional balance. Your daily diet should provide foods rich in vitamins to help protect the gastric mucosa, improve its defense capabilities, and promote the repair of local lesions.

4. Food should be soft, warm and cozy. It is better to cook by steaming, boiling, simmering and braising, and eat less hard and rough food. When eating, take your time and chew the food thoroughly in your mouth, mix it with saliva, and then swallow it slowly. This will help digestion and recovery after illness. It is necessary to pay attention to the regulation of food temperature in different seasons. People with weak spleen and stomach should especially avoid eating raw and cold food. People with liver depression and qi stagnation should avoid eating immediately after getting angry.

Children do not have a correct understanding of illness, so when they feel nausea or stomach pain, they will not express it and may just be distressed. Parents must pay more attention to their children's physical health and be patient with them. Stomach problems need to be adjusted slowly, and try not to use medications to avoid causing greater irritation to the child's stomach.
