What to do if baby's hands are scalded and blistered

Many parents are careless when taking care of their children, so their children are often injured. Many parents often do not pay attention when boiling water, and the children do not know when they enter the house. This makes it easy for children to get scalded. If a child's hand is scalded, nursing measures must be taken immediately to avoid the child's hand from starting to run. So what should you do if the child's hand is scalded and blisters appear?

Many parents become panic-stricken after their children are scalded. They don't know what to do or how to comfort their distressed children, and may even further scratch the burned skin. Here are some tips on how to deal with burns. These simple and practical methods can temporarily relieve your child’s pain.

If the burned area is blistered or peeling, do not touch it and go to the surgeon immediately for treatment. Never apply oil. Things that are applied at home often cause suppuration, which is the main reason for leaving scars on the burned areas. Never pick at blisters caused by burns at home. If the area is not large, there will only be local blistering, erythema, fever, swelling and pain.

The following methods can be adopted: first rinse the wound with cold water, then use professional burn and scald medicine to treat it. It is advisable to use exposure therapy, that is, after applying the medicine, there is no need to bandage it, but directly expose it to the air to allow the wound to heal.

Doctor's advice:

1. Rinse the wound with cold water first, then soak the wound in cold water for half an hour. The earlier the soaking time and the lower the water temperature, the better. However, if the wound has blistered or broken, do not soak it to prevent infection.

2. Gently apply light salt water to the wound to reduce inflammation.

3. Apply soy sauce, honey, lard, dog oil, or ginger juice on the wound to achieve the desired effect.

4. Use egg white, cooked honey or sesame oil, mix well and apply to the wound to reduce inflammation and relieve pain.

5. Cut a few slices of raw pear and apply them to the injured area. It has astringent and analgesic effects.

Care methods

1. Stay away from heat sources: First, quickly stay away from heat sources and carefully take off the clothes on the burned area to expose the wound; if the clothes are stuck to the skin and cannot be taken off, you can cut them open with scissors, do not take them off forcibly to avoid damaging the wound.

2. Cooling and heat dissipation: There will be a lot of residual heat in the wound after a burn or scald, which needs to be cooled and dissipated, otherwise it will burn the deep skin and cause deeper burns. You can use edible white wine (20-50 degree white wine, not alcohol) or the second rice washing water (if the tap water quality is not good, you can use purified water or cold boiled water to wash rice and use the second rice washing water) to rinse the wound to cool it down. You can also soak cotton swabs in white wine and apply it to the affected area to cool it down. This can quickly absorb the residual heat from the burn, relieve pain and prevent blistering.

Following the above method to improve children's hand burns is very effective. If a child's hands are burned, rinse them with cold water immediately, so that the burned parts of the child's hands can be improved. When a child's hands are burned, do not choose any folk remedies to treat them, as this is useless. The child must be treated in time.
