How to identify ADHD in children?

Many children have been very naughty since childhood, especially boys. In the past, people thought it was normal for boys to be a little naughty, and it was boys’ nature. However, if the child often has difficulty concentrating and is overly restless and always makes small movements, parents should pay attention to whether this is a symptom of the child suffering from ADHD. This will not only cause trouble for the teacher, but also make the parents very upset. So how should we judge whether a child has ADHD!

Babies at different ages will have different symptoms if they suffer from ADHD. Here is a quick way to identify ADHD:

1. Whether your attention is focused. Children with ADHD cannot concentrate for a long time no matter when and where they are, including watching TV, movies, comics, etc. Normal children with ADHD can concentrate on one thing and hate others' interference.

2. Is the activity purposeful? The actions of children with ADHD often have no clear purpose. They are childish, willful, have poor self-control, scream and cry over trivial matters, have a bad temper, and act impulsively without considering the consequences. Normal hyperactive children, on the other hand, act with purpose and plan, have a certain degree of self-control, and do not make random noises.

3. Whether learning is difficult Children with ADHD usually have illegible handwriting, cannot distinguish left from right, colors, and directions, mispronounce words and sentences or read them backwards, such as reading "Shanghai" as "Haishang", have loose thoughts, and lack of concentration. Normal children do not have the above symptoms and can concentrate on completing a task.

How to diagnose ADHD in children.

The difference between ADHD and naughty children:

In terms of attention: Children with ADHD cannot concentrate for a long time in any situation, even when reading "picture books" or "cartoons". But naughty children are different.

The difference between children with ADHD and children who are naughty 2:

In terms of behavioral purpose: the behavior of naughty children is often purposeful and planned; children with ADHD do not have this characteristic.

The difference between ADHD and naughty children 3:

In terms of self-control: naughty children have self-control in serious and unfamiliar environments, can behave themselves and stop crying; children with ADHD do not have this ability.

In fact, children being naughty and having ADHD are two different things. Children with ADHD often cannot concentrate for a long time, and do things without purpose and plan. Similarly, some children can be relatively well-behaved in unfamiliar environments, but children with ADHD are still very noisy, so parents should pay attention.
