Why do babies like to stick out their tongues?

Young parents have no experience in raising children and are surprised by some of their children's reactions. One thing that needs to be said here is that many young parents are very curious about why their babies like to stick out their tongues? For inexperienced parents, some may think that their baby's love of sticking out the tongue is an abnormal phenomenon. But it’s not actually true.

Sticking out the tongue is a natural stage of a newborn baby's physiological development. It is generally normal for babies to stick out their tongue, and parents don't need to worry too much. The salivary glands of newborns usually begin to secrete saliva after two months. At this time, the baby will lick with the tongue, and then stick out the tongue.

Babies are developing very fast now. Due to the differences in the order in which their various nervous functions develop, different babies will have different behaviors, but the various behaviors of babies of the same age mostly belong to the same level. For example, if your baby sticks out his tongue, other babies may suck their fingers, or still other babies may pat their heads or something like that. These actions are all the baby's way of exploring and feeling the outside world.

Through these, the baby feels that his actions have gained unprecedented feelings and perceptions, which can satisfy the baby's current psychological characteristics of seeking novelty and difference in learning or development. So young parents don’t have to feel strange about their babies sticking out their tongues. After the baby is born, the order of the baby's body movements development follows from beginning to end. At first, the baby uses his mouth to bite, his tongue to lick, etc. to touch and understand the world.

When a newborn baby comes into this world, he begins to feel amazed at the world the moment he opens his eyes. They will feel this new world by sticking out their tongues and biting their fingers. So parents don’t need to be overly sensitive to these reactions of their babies. All parents need to do is to do a good job of cleaning. Just make sure your baby's lips or fingers are clean.
