What fruits should children with tracheitis eat?

Bronchitis is a very common disease, especially for children. The incidence of this disease in children increases every winter and spring. Many parents are aware of the harmfulness of bronchitis, and most people can take timely measures to treat it. However, many people only focus on how to treat it, but rarely pay attention to the dietary precautions for children. So, what kind of fruit is better for children to eat when they have bronchitis!

Bronchitis can occur throughout the year, but is most common in winter and spring, with no obvious regional differences. Mothers in the south or north should carefully protect their baby's respiratory tract during the transition from winter to spring, and stay away from bacteria and viruses that enter the body and attack. Symptoms: Pediatric bronchitis is more common in babies under 1 year old, especially in infants under 6 months old. The younger the baby, the more serious the condition. Bronchitis has an acute onset and is often accompanied by symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection, such as nasal congestion, runny nose, and sneezing. The body temperature usually does not exceed 38.5℃ and the fever usually subsides after 2 to 3 days.

Chronic bronchitis is characterized by persistent cough, which is lingering and does not heal. It is more severe in the morning and evening, most obvious at night, and the amount of sputum may be more or less. Chronic bronchitis is milder in summer but more prone to acute attacks in winter, especially after an external illness, which can easily worsen the condition. Children who suffer from repeated attacks tend to be weak.

Dietary precautions:

1. Food should be light and fresh vegetables such as cabbage, spinach, rapeseed, radish, carrot, tomato, cucumber, winter melon, etc., which can not only supplement the supply of multiple vitamins and inorganic salts, but also have the functions of clearing phlegm, removing heat and relieving constipation. Soybeans and soy products contain high-quality protein needed by the human body, which can make up for the nutritional loss caused by chronic strep throat.

2. Strengthen your daily diet. You can choose more foods that can strengthen the spleen, benefit the lungs, nourish the kidneys, regulate qi, and resolve phlegm, such as pig, cattle, and sheep lungs, as well as loquat, orange, pear, lily, jujube, lotus seeds, almonds, walnuts, honey, etc., which help to strengthen your physical fitness.

3. Avoid eating greasy seafood because "fish generates fire and meat generates phlegm". Therefore, babies with chronic bronchitis should eat less yellow croaker, hairtail, shrimp, crab, fatty meat, etc. to avoid adding fire to the generation of phlegm.

4. Do not eat very irritating foods. Spicy foods such as chili, pepper, garlic, onion, leek, etc. can severely irritate the respiratory tract and aggravate the symptoms. The seasoning of dishes should not be too salty or too sweet, and the temperature should be moderate.

If a child develops bronchitis, while actively cooperating with the doctor's treatment, it is best to pay more attention to the child's diet, let the child eat more light foods, some light and heat-removing foods, and not eat anything spicy or irritating. If the child eats spicy or irritating foods, it will only aggravate the symptoms and will not benefit the treatment. Therefore, treatment is key, and diet is even more critical.
