What to do if children's tooth enamel falls off

There are many reasons for the loss of tooth enamel in children. So how should we deal with children's dental problems? If the child is too young, we should pay attention to improving unhealthy habits, such as if the child likes to eat sweets, or the influence of some problems when the mother was pregnant. The former can be improved through acquired efforts, while the latter, if the baby's teeth are really serious, you can consider filling the child's teeth.

Calcium deficiency during the mother's pregnancy may cause poor mineralization of the child's deciduous tooth enamel, making tooth decay and enamel loss more likely to occur. Caries in infants and young children progress faster. Since children are young, it is difficult for them to cooperate with treatment. If the caries is shallow, you can consider fluoride treatment first to slow the progression of caries. Pay attention to oral hygiene and brush your teeth carefully.

If the enamel is lost, if there are no pulp symptoms and the area is not too large, you can consider using composite resin for restoration. It is simple and convenient, the effect is good, and the price is not expensive. If the area is large and involves the cusps of the back teeth, porcelain teeth can be used for restoration. Be careful when eating in the future, especially eat less hard, too hot, or too cold food. You can use resin to fill your teeth. If you don't fill them, the gaps and holes will easily accumulate plaque and cause caries. Nano resin is a filler with smaller particles. After wear, the surface of resin with larger particles will become rough, adsorbing pigments and bacteria and other substances to cause discoloration, affecting the appearance. Resin with smaller particles is better, but its hardness and strength will decrease, so it can only be used on front teeth and places with less bite force and wear.

The tooth filling methods used by some parents can be applied to children's enamel problems. When a child's enamel loss is very serious, they should actively cooperate with the treatment. For the sake of the baby's health, restrain bad habits, let the child have good eating habits and methods, change dental health problems, and be a smart and healthy child.
