Protruding bones on the child's feet

Protruding bones on the child's feet

For children, bones are actually very fragile. Because children's bones are relatively soft, fractures may occur if you are not careful. Of course, if you maintain a bad sitting posture for a long time, it will cause deformation or distortion of the bones. So, what should we do if our child has protruding bones on his feet? It’s best to go to the hospital for a check-up to see if the joint is dislocated!

The foot, like any other part of the human body, is a living organism. It is composed of skin, ligaments, sweat glands, blood vessels, nerves, muscles and bones. Therefore, it is very important for human health to understand and master the structure of the foot, the characteristics of its physiological functions, and to be familiar with the origins of the names of the characteristic parts of the foot.

The function of wearing shoes is to help the feet move, support the feet, and protect the feet from injury, ultimately achieving the goals of exercise and wearing shoes beautifully. The foot is an organ of the human body that is easily deformed and flexible. It can easily adapt to heat, pressure, humidity, and changing climate. Wearing shoes correctly can prevent foot injuries and help your feet walk farther, faster and with less effort. The foot is the part of the body that contacts the ground most directly. Its center of gravity and volume will change when wearing different types of shoes. The structure of the foot is very complex. It is composed of 26 bones, muscles and tendons. The huge weight of the body and special movements are supported and executed by the feet.

skeleton

The skeletal structure makes the foot stronger and supports the body's weight. The foot is composed of 26 bones and is divided into three major parts: the heel, waist and forefoot. The heel is composed of 7 bones and is responsible for directly bearing body weight, with most of the body weight (50%) falling on the heel. The waist is composed of 5 long bones, which are responsible for connecting the forefoot and heel and transferring part of the body weight to the forefoot. The forefoot is made up of 14 small bones, which are responsible for bearing body weight, balancing the body and grasping the ground to prevent the body from falling. In order to support the entire body weight, several arches are formed at the bottom of the foot, especially the inner arch, which is relatively well-developed, large and strong. The body weight applied straight from above through the tibia is once supported by the talus, which is equivalent to a transmission joint, and is then completely borne by the strong inner arch with the front end of the inner side of the bottom of the calcaneus and the grounding point of the first foot bone as two base points.

Cartilage

It is a special tissue that covers the ends of bones and has the function of lubrication and helping bones to twist and absorb shock.

joint

Connect two or more bones to create a skeletal system, from top to bottom, knees, ankles and toes. Its shape is like a circular bearing and its function is like a universal joint, so the sole of the foot can make slight changes in angle.
