What causes mouth ulcers in children?

Oral ulcer is a common disease in our lives. The incidence rate is high not only in adults but also in children. Oral ulcer is a relatively painful disease. When ulcers grow inside our mouth or at the root of the tongue, it will be very painful when we move while eating or talking, which seriously affects our normal life. Let's take a look at the causes of oral ulcers and the correct treatment methods.

Crush 1 to 2 vitamin C tablets, sprinkle them on the ulcer surface, close your mouth for a moment, and do this twice a day. This method is effective in treating ulcers, but it causes great irritation to the ulcer surface and can cause pain. It is generally used for older children.

Choose whole milk powder, take one tablespoon each time and add a little white sugar, take it with boiled water, 2 to 3 times a day, it is best to take it before going to bed. The ulcer usually disappears after 2 days of taking it.

3. Squeeze the watermelon pulp to extract the juice and hold it in your mouth. Swallow it after about 2 to 3 minutes, then take new watermelon juice. Repeat several times, 2 to 3 times a day.

4. Beat the eggs into a bowl and mix them into a paste. At the same time, take an appropriate amount of mung beans and put them into a ceramic pot. Soak them in cold water for more than ten minutes, and then boil them over fire for about 2 minutes. When the mung beans are not cooked, pour out the mung bean water and mix it with frangipani to drink, once in the morning and evening every day.

5. Heat fresh banana leaves over fire and apply them to oral ulcers 2 to 3 times a day.

6. Take tomato juice and hold it in your mouth for a few minutes before swallowing it. Do this several times a day. It also has a certain therapeutic effect.

One is the ulcer caused by trauma. It is mainly caused by bacterial infection due to bruises, punctures, etc., and is generally easy to cure. The medicine will take effect three or four days after application and usually will not recur.

The second is ulcers caused by vitamin B deficiency. Vitamin B deficiency can cause a variety of oral inflammation: ① Angular cheilitis: Usually symmetrical wet white erosions and cracks occur on both sides of the corners of the mouth, and the cracks are covered with yellow scabs. Pain may occur when secondary infection develops. ② Cheilitis: Usually there will be swelling of the lips, dryness and desquamation, or increased longitudinal fissures of the lips, which are more obvious on the upper lip, and there will be a burning or stinging sensation. ③ Glossitis: In the early stage, the tongue will become dry, with a burning or tingling sensation. Then the tongue swells and the fungiform papillae become swollen and congested. Later, atrophic glossitis will appear, sometimes there will be cracks or small ulcers on the tongue surface, and some will also have oral mucosal ulcers. The simplest way to treat ulcers caused by vitamin B deficiency is: while taking vitamin B complex, riboflavin and other treatments, pay attention to adjusting your diet structure and eat more milk, animal liver, spinach, carrots, cabbage, etc. containing riboflavin, which can cure oral ulcers in a short time.

The third is ulcers caused by excessive cold and heat in the body. Dry weather or eating a lot of high-calorie food can easily cause overheating of the heart and spleen, thereby causing oral ulcers. Some people are prone to oral ulcers and recurring symptoms due to their weak and cold constitution.

To treat ulcers caused by spleen and stomach fire, you can adopt the method of clearing stomach fire, such as eating more cool foods such as watermelon, winter melon soup, lotus seed core soup for conditioning, or go to the pharmacy to buy some powder medicines such as Bingpengsan and Lianggesan, and take them as prescribed by the doctor; for ulcers caused by deficiency and cold, you can eat more high-calorie foods such as brown sugar, lychee, mutton, chicken, etc. to warm the spleen and kidneys, guide the fire back to its source, and treat it according to syndrome differentiation and conditioning.

To improve recurrent oral ulcers, you should pay attention to regular bowel movements and adequate sleep, especially regular bowel movements are an indispensable treatment for recurrent oral ulcers. Eating more fresh fruits and vegetables can cleanse the stomach and intestines. At the same time, since oral ulcers may also be caused by a lack of vitamin B2, you can eat more vegetables and wheat germ, and supplement with vitamin C and zinc.

Diet therapy for oral ulcers

Honey gargle method: You can gargle with 10% honey, which can reduce inflammation, relieve pain and promote cell regeneration.

Honey therapy: Wash your mouth clean, then apply honey on the ulcer surface with a sterilized cotton swab. Do not eat or drink after application. After about 15 minutes, you can swallow the honey and saliva, and then continue to apply it. You can repeat the application several times a day.

Zinc sulfate therapy: Take zinc sulfate tablets or 12% zinc sulfate syrup, 40-80 mg each time for adults, 3 times a day. Generally, it will be cured after 5-7 days of continuous use.

Fungus therapy: Take 10 grams each of white fungus, black fungus and hawthorn, decoct them in water, drink the soup and eat the fungus, 1-2 times a day, to treat oral ulcers.

Cocoa therapy: Mix cocoa powder and honey into a paste, gargle it frequently, several times a day to treat oral inflammation and ulcers.

Cabbage root therapy: Take 60 grams of cabbage root, 15 grams of garlic sprouts, and 10 dates, decoct in water and take 12 times a day to treat oral ulcers.

Take 30 grams of white radish seeds, 30 grams of mustard seeds, and 15 grams of green onion, mash them together, and apply them to the soles of your feet once a day to treat oral ulcers.

Apple therapy: Take an apple (pear is also fine), cut it into slices and put it in a container, add cold water (enough to cover the apple or pear to be cooked) and heat it until boiling. After it cools down a little, hold it in your mouth together with wine for a while before eating. Use it for a few days to cure the disease.

The above are specific methods for treating oral ulcers. Some are treated with medication and some are treated with diet therapy. No matter which one is used, the effect is very obvious. The main reason for oral ulcers is the lack of vitamins in the body. We need to pay more attention to the balanced absorption of nutrients in our daily diet and eat more vegetables and fruits.
