What are the causes of precocious puberty in girls?

Nowadays, many young girls will show the characteristics of precocious puberty. According to statistics, the youngest precocious puberty is three years old, and the oldest is over nine years old. In fact, there are reasons for the precocious puberty of girls. Try to find these reasons to avoid the harm of precocious puberty to children. So let's take a look at the reasons for precocious puberty in girls.

1. True precocious puberty is caused by increased gonadotropin. The increase in gonadotropin causes the development of follicles and even ovulation, which leads to fertility. This is homosexual precocious puberty or complete precocious puberty. The most typical case is Lina Medinam from Peru, who was 5 years and 10 months old when she was pregnant at full term and gave birth by caesarean section.

2. Pseudo-precocious puberty is caused by increased gonadal steroids. For example, if estrogen increases, homosexual precocious puberty occurs, and if androgen increases, heterosexual precocious puberty occurs. Both are incomplete precocious puberty and the patient is infertile.

3. True precocious puberty is complete homosexual precocious puberty. Due to the premature development of the gonadal axis and the early onset of puberty, the sexual maturation process proceeds according to the normal puberty sequence, the function of the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis is established, there is an ovulatory menstrual cycle, and fertility is achieved.

4. True precocious puberty caused by central nervous system diseases: Central nervous system tumors or non-tumor lesions such as hydrocephalus, infection, cysts, trauma, etc. can cause true precocious puberty. It accounts for about 10% of female precocious puberty. More than half of them are caused by tumors. Common tumors include pinealoma, optic nerve glioma, hypothalamic hamartoma, suprasellar teratoma, neurofibroma, astrocytoma, ependymoma, etc. How intracranial lesions trigger early puberty is still unclear. It may be due to local infiltration of intracranial tumors, scar structure and increased intracranial pressure, which affect the neural pathways in the brain that inhibit the GnRH pulse generator.

Parents must pay attention to their children's developmental symptoms and observe their children's development process. If they find that their children have morphological characteristics, they must go to the hospital for a diagnosis in time and insist on giving their children treatment. Otherwise, precocious puberty will cause great harm to children. Parents must take it seriously and pay attention to arranging a reasonable diet and life for their children.
