Why does my 40-day-old baby not sleep during the day?

There are always many unexpected things in the baby's growth process. When the baby is more than 40 days old, a baby who is usually very well-behaved may not like to sleep during the day. Many parents are very worried and feel that it will be bad for the baby in the long run, because generally babies need to sleep for a long time after they are born. Next, I will share with you the reasons why babies who are more than 40 days old do not sleep during the day.

There are two reasons why children cannot sleep well: one is calcium deficiency, and the other is sleep disorders that are common in many children.

1. Children can now be given appropriate calcium supplements and appropriate outdoor activities. They can be kept in the shade even in hot sunshine. As the child supplements calcium, his sleep will gradually improve. Calcium gluconate can be taken together with cod liver oil. 2. If the child behaves like this for a long time, it may be a sleep disorder that is common among many children. Make sure the child's sleeping environment is quiet and dark, and comfort the child more. As the child grows older, the sleep problem will improve.

Generally speaking, children aged 1 to 3 months should sleep about 18 hours a day. They should sleep four times during the day, each time for 1.5 to 2 hours, and 10 to 11 hours at night. This means that except for feeding, changing diapers, and playing for a while, most of the time is spent sleeping. But it is not necessarily the case. A few babies just sleep less, but as long as they have a good appetite and gain weight normally, there is no big problem.

If your baby doesn't like to sleep, you can check if there is a possibility of calcium deficiency. If it is confirmed that it is calcium deficiency, calcium supplementation should be carried out in time. If there is no calcium deficiency problem, the baby still doesn't like to sleep, it should not be a big problem. As long as you ensure that the baby gets enough sleep at night and is healthy in all aspects, you don't have to worry too much about the baby not sleeping during the day.
