Causes of cough in children in spring

The weather in spring is hot and cold, and people will inevitably catch a cold and have a fever due to some internal heat in the body. In fact, it is not only adults who will experience this situation. Many young children have low immunity and the weather changes will cause spring children to cough. What should we do in our lives?

Early spring is a season with frequent climate changes and is a peak season for respiratory diseases. Children have low resistance and are easily attacked by external factors during this season, causing upper respiratory tract infections, including the common cold, bronchitis and bronchopneumonia. Upper respiratory tract infections in children often present with symptoms such as fever, chills, cough, runny nose, crying and discomfort.

Upper respiratory tract infections are mostly common colds, such as acute tonsillitis, pharyngitis, etc. In severe cases, it can cause bronchopneumonia in children. Spring and winter are the peak seasons for bronchopneumonia. The disease usually has an acute onset, and the main symptoms include fever, cough, and shortness of breath. The cough is more frequent and is an irritating dry cough. Once a child becomes ill, he or she should go to the hospital for treatment in time. If a minor illness is not taken seriously, it will eventually lead to a serious illness.

Whether it is a cold or bronchopneumonia, most clinical symptoms include fever, and antipyretics can only temporarily lower the body temperature. Children's colds usually do not exceed 38℃ and do not last long, so antipyretics are more effective. The cough or wheezing caused by a cold is generally mild and does not cause difficulty breathing. Pneumonia is usually accompanied by cough or wheezing, which is severe and often causes breathing difficulties, manifested as shortness of breath, flaring nostrils, and purple lips.

When children suffer from pneumonia, in addition to fever, cough, shortness of breath, and frequent and obvious coughing, they often have a poor mental state, a significantly decreased appetite, irritability, crying, and poor sleep.

It is currently the peak season for respiratory diseases. Parents should pay attention to maintaining air circulation in the indoor environment, avoid crowded public places, and avoid cross infection. According to weather changes, pay attention to keeping warm, don't wear too much, increase outdoor activities, and improve your immunity

In fact, from the above article we learned that children cough in spring. This is because mothers do not pay attention to replenishing water for their children. One of the main reasons is that children should not be fed spicy or indigestible foods.
