9-month-old baby's development and diet

In daily life, parents are very concerned about the physical development of their babies. As the children grow day by day, their bodies will also undergo some changes. Parents are very curious about the development of their 9-month-old babies. Let’s learn about it in the following article.

Developmental characteristics

A 9-month-old child knows his name and will respond when his name is called. If he wants to take something, the parents say sternly: "Don't move!" He will immediately retract his hand and stop the action. This shows that a 9-month-old child already understands simple meanings. When adults say goodbye to him, he will wave to the adults; if he is given something he doesn't like, he will shake his head; when he is happy playing, he will giggle and dance, and appear to be very cheerful and lively.

Nutritious diet

Babies over 9 months old should add some root foods with high sugar content, such as potatoes and sweet potatoes, and some crude fiber foods such as vegetables, but remove the coarse and old parts. Babies over 9 months old have grown teeth and are able to chew, so you can let them chew harder things. In addition to giving your child two meals of porridge, noodles or soft rice every day, you can also add some soy products, and they should still eat vegetable puree, fish puree, liver puree, etc. During the teething period of a child, continue to feed him biscuits, toasted bread slices, etc. to let him practice chewing.

Here is a timetable for your reference:

The first breakfast is milk (powdered milk) around 6 am

Second breakfast: complementary food (rice noodles, porridge, noodles) around 8 am

The third meal is milk (milk powder) around 12 noon

Fourth lunch: milk (powdered milk) at 2 or 3 p.m.

The fifth meal is supplementary food (rice noodles, porridge, noodles) around 6 pm

The sixth supper is milk powder around 10 pm

The article tells us about the development of 9-month-old babies. Depending on the physical development of each child, some children may be thin and small. This is due to malnutrition or insufficient nutrition. In daily life, we need to supplement nutrition and let children eat more nutritious food.
