What to do if your baby has high trace element lead

Lead is also a common trace element in the human body, but when the lead content exceeds the standard, it has a great impact on human health and may also cause many diseases. Babies have relatively weak immunity and are prone to excessive lead levels. Therefore, when the lead content in the trace elements in the baby's body is too high, it is necessary to pay attention to treatment and conditioning. So what should we do if our baby’s trace element lead is too high?

1. Eat lead-removing candy

Nowadays, general maternal and child supermarkets sell lead-removing candy, which can help remove lead from the baby's body. But babies should eat less of this kind of candy, otherwise it will be bad for the growth of teeth.

2. Kiwi

If the baby's lead level is not too high, you can use food to remove the lead. Kiwi is a very good lead-removing fruit and can be squeezed into juice for children to eat.

3. Milk

Give your baby children's milk. The protein contained in it can combine with lead in the body to form a soluble compound, thereby preventing the body from absorbing lead. It is recommended to drink 250ML of milk every day.

4. Note

Try to avoid playing in areas with heavy traffic. Automobile exhaust contains a large amount of toxic substances, including a lot of lead. If babies are close to vehicles that emit heavy exhaust gas, they are likely to inhale too much lead. Wash your baby’s hands immediately after playing with newspapers or magazines. If your baby plays and crumples newspapers, his hands will often be stained with lead. You should wash his hands as soon as possible with soap to prevent diseases from entering the body through the mouth. Foods with high lead content mainly include preserved eggs, popcorn (old method), popped soybeans, popped broad beans, popped rice cake slices, fruit peels, canned food or beverages, etc. The raw materials used to make preserved eggs contain lead oxide and lead salts, which can migrate through the eggshell into the egg. Traditional preserved eggs contain very high levels of lead. Even if a child is only given 1/8 of a preserved egg, the lead intake is already more than 5 times the daily allowable intake for a 2-year-old child.
