Two-year-old baby diet plan

Two-year-old baby diet plan

When the baby is still in the cradle, the baby can only drink milk and cannot eat any food that can be chewed; when the baby grows to two years old, the baby has grown more than a dozen teeth, they can eat some soft food, and their body gradually develops towards an adult. No matter what age the baby is, it is very important to arrange the diet properly. Take a two-year-old baby as an example, what are the planning standards for their diet?

A two-year-old baby can already eat staple foods such as cereals like his parents, but the baby’s diet still needs to be prepared separately, as he cannot adapt to adult diets for the time being. At this stage, the baby's food is mainly cereals such as rice and noodles, because cereals are the main source of heat energy. The protein needed by babies mainly comes from foods such as meat, eggs, milk and fish; calcium, iron and other minerals mainly come from vegetables and some from animal foods; vitamins mainly come from fruits and vegetables.

The stomach capacity of a two-year-old baby is about 300 ml, so parents don’t need to prepare too much food at each meal for the baby to finish. Babies at this stage should eat 4-5 times a day, 3 meals a day, with an interval of about 4 hours between each meal, and some snacks between meals.

A two-year-old baby should consume about 100 grams of staple food per day, about 100 grams of meat, fish, eggs, and milk, and 50-100 grams of vegetables; the amount of snacks and fruits between meals is about 50 grams. Since babies have limited appetite, to ensure adequate nutrition, they should eat more fish, meat, and eggs, and less soy products; provide more vegetables, and reduce the amount of fruit appropriately; eat more side dishes and less staple food, so that the nutritional supply can be sufficient and balanced.

A two-year-old baby is in the stage of physical development, so the nutrient supplementation must be comprehensive. Each nutrient has a daily intake standard, and parents should arrange the baby's diet reasonably according to the standard. If the baby doesn't like these foods, parents can change the cooking method and make as many different foods as possible to attract the baby's attention and help the baby eat obediently.
