Hemiplegia itself is a terrible thing. If there is a patient with hemiplegia in someone's family, the family will have a lot of trouble every day as they have to take care of the patient and do not have enough time to make money. Especially for children with hemiplegia, it is a disaster and parents will feel very painful. Therefore, rehabilitation training for children becomes a particularly important thing in the family. Rehabilitation training for children with hemiplegia 1. Walking training Keep an even stride and a moderate frequency. Extend your hips and bend your knees. Lift one heel first. Shift your center of gravity smoothly and don't be too hasty. Land your heel first and then shift your center of gravity to the heel to start the next gait cycle. 2. Daily life movement training (1) Hitting the ball: patients can be taught to use both hands alternately to hit the ball or balloon to train their coordinated movements and promote their unconscious autonomous activities. (2) Knitting sweaters is a form of fine motor training that is beneficial for training the patient's eye-hand coordination, cultivating sensations, and senses, and helps restore brain nerve function. 3. Language training Instruct patients to do oral exercises: teach patients to purse their lips, puff out their cheeks, bar their teeth, click their teeth, etc. Do each movement 5 to 10 times/unit of training. Teach patients to learn pronunciation, start with a single pronunciation, and gradually increase the difficulty after it is accurate. Use pictures, word cards, real objects, etc. to strengthen patients' memory. Ask patients to read aloud to stimulate memory. 4. Psychological care (1) Respect the patient and listen to him/her patiently. Speak loudly and slowly when talking to the patient. Keep the wording brief and clear, repeat the key points. If necessary, use auxiliary equipment such as hearing aids and literacy cards to facilitate better communication. (2) Patients may suffer from low self-esteem and pessimism due to hemiplegia or aphasia, or become irritable due to inability to take care of themselves. Family members should pay attention to caring for the patients, communicate more with them, provide them with spiritual and material support, relieve their concerns, stabilize their emotions, and facilitate their recovery. What are the symptoms of hemiplegia? 1. Headache: Whether it is cerebral hemorrhage or cerebral infarction, headache is very common and is also an important symptom and signal. 2. Vomiting: It is characterized by projectile vomiting. If coffee-colored liquid is vomited, it means the condition is very serious. 3. Vertigo: Vertigo refers to the feeling that the surrounding objects are spinning or that you are spinning. It is different from general dizziness or lightheadedness. Vertigo is often accompanied by vomiting or tinnitus, which are common symptoms of stroke in certain parts of the brain. 4. Common manifestations of sudden limb paralysis: often refers to numbness and weakness of one side of the limbs, sudden falling when getting up in the morning or standing up from a sitting position, and people next to you find that half of the body cannot move. Depending on the diseased blood vessels, the location of brain tissue damage will be different, and the location of hemiplegia will also be different accordingly. 5. Drooling at the corners of the mouth: When the central nervous system that controls the lower part of the face is damaged, the corners of the mouth may be slanted, drooling, or food may flow out of the corners of the mouth. This often does not affect the function of the upper facial muscles such as closing the eyes and raising the forehead (frowning). This is what is medically called "central facial paralysis." |
