10 dangerous ways of spoiling your child: how many of them do you have?

10 dangerous ways of spoiling your child: how many of them do you have?

1. Special treatment

The child has a superior status in the family and receives special care everywhere, such as eating alone and having good food placed in front of him for him to enjoy alone; being an only child, grandparents may not celebrate their birthdays, but the child's birthday must be celebrated with a big cake and gifts... Such children feel special and are accustomed to being superior to others, and will inevitably become selfish, without sympathy, and will not care about others.

2. Pay too much attention

The whole family takes care of him and accompanies him at all times. During the Chinese New Year and other holidays, when relatives and friends come over, they often laugh and tease him endlessly. Sometimes the adults sit in a circle around him, repeatedly inviting the child to perform with constant applause. Such children think they are the center and truly become "little suns". Everyone in the family has to revolve around him, and he is restless all day long. His attention is extremely distracted and he is particularly prone to stage fright. He even makes so much noise that it is impossible to have a conversation when guests come.

3. Easily satisfied

Give your child whatever he wants. Some parents also give a lot of pocket money to infants and primary school students, which makes it easier for children to be satisfied. Such children will inevitably develop bad character of not cherishing things, pursuing material enjoyment, wasting money and being inconsiderate to others, and they will have no patience and spirit of endurance of hardship.

4. Lazy lifestyle

Children are allowed to have no regular pattern in their eating, sleeping, playing and studying. They are allowed to do whatever they want, such as sleeping in, skipping meals, wandering around during the day, and watching TV until late at night. Such children lack ambition and curiosity when they grow up, live a life of mediocrity, and are distracted when doing things, without finishing what they start.

5. Pray and beg

For example, coaxing and begging the child to eat and sleep, and promising to tell the child three stories before finishing the meal. The child’s psychology is that the more you beg him, the more he will be shy. Not only will he be unable to distinguish right from wrong and fail to develop a sense of responsibility and a generous character, but the prestige of education will also be completely lost.

6. Taking over

I once asked some mothers whether they should require their children to work. Some of them actually said, "I don't even have time to feel pain, how can I bear to let my children work?" Others said, "It's more troublesome to ask the 'little thing' to do things, so I might as well do it for him." Therefore, children aged three or four still need to be fed and cannot dress themselves. Children aged five or six still do not do any housework and do not understand the joy of work and the responsibility to help reduce the burden on their parents. If they continue to take care of everything for their parents like this, they will inevitably lose a hardworking, kind, compassionate, capable and motivated child. This is by no means sensational.

7. Make a fuss

Originally, "a newborn calf is not afraid of a tiger". Children are not afraid of water, darkness, falling, or illness. After falling down, they often get up quietly and continue playing. Why do some children become timid and crybaby later? That is often caused by their parents and grandparents. Children become panic-stricken when they are sick. The ultimate result of pampering is that children will not let their parents leave them. These children are branded as cowards.

8. Deprivation of independence

To ensure absolute safety, parents do not allow their child to leave the house or play with other children. What's worse, some children have become "little tails", who cannot leave their parents or the elderly for a moment. They sleep in their parents' arms, sit in their laps, and walk on their backs. They are afraid of the children melting if they hold them in their mouths, and afraid of them flying away if they spit them out. Such children will become timid and incompetent, lose self-confidence, develop a dependent mentality, and often become "gatekeepers", domineering at home but timid as mice outside, resulting in serious personality defects.

9. Fear of crying

Because children are indulged from a young age, they threaten their parents by crying, sleeping on the floor, and refusing to eat when they are unhappy. Doting parents have no choice but to coax, surrender, comply and accommodate. Parents who are afraid of their children crying are incompetent parents; children who beat and scold their parents will become ruthless and rebellious, and the seeds of selfishness, ruthlessness, willfulness and lack of self-control will be sown in their character.

10. Protecting someone in person

Sometimes the father takes care of the child, and the mother protects him: "Don't be too strict, he's still young." When some parents teach their children, the grandmother will stand up and say: "You can't be too hasty, he will be better when he grows up; when you were young, you were far from being as good as him!" Such a child is of course "uneducable"! Because he has no sense of right and wrong, and always has a "protective umbrella" and "refuge". The consequence is not only a distorted character of the child, but sometimes it also causes family discord.
