What to do if your child coughs

We all know that every child will always have some health problems in the process of growing up. Among them, children's coughing is a common symptom. Children's constant coughing will make parents particularly worried and distressed, but there are many reasons for coughing, and long-term coughing is particularly likely to cause throat inflammation, which will cause greater pain to children. Parents often don’t know how to better regulate them and whether they need to go to the hospital for treatment. Let’s learn about what to do if children cough.

What to do if your child coughs

1. Polygonatum odoratum porridge: 15g of fresh polygonatum odoratum, double the amount, 50g of polished rice. Usage: Wash and chop the Polygonatum odoratum, add water to boil it into soup, extract the juice and remove the residue, and use the Polygonatum odoratum juice to cook porridge (add water when cooking porridge). Take warm twice a day, morning and evening. One week is one course of treatment, stop for one week before the second course

2. Lily and pear candy: 10g lily (fresh lily is better, double the amount), 1 pear, 15g white sugar. Wash the lilies and slice the pears. Mix lily, pear and sugar in a bowl, steam until cooked, let cool and take all at once. Twice a day.

3. Peanuts and rock sugar: 100-150g peanuts and appropriate amount of rock sugar. Wash the peanuts, add rock sugar and water and cook until done. Eat the peanuts and drink the soup, divided into three times a day.

4. Tremella soup: 5g Tremella, 1 egg, 60g rock sugar, and appropriate amount of lard. Soak the white fungus in warm water for about 30 minutes. After it is fully expanded, remove impurities, wash and cut into slices. Then add appropriate amount of water and bring to a boil. Then simmer for another 2 hours over low heat until the white fungus is cooked. Add rock sugar to water and boil until melted, beat in eggs, add a little water and stir well, put into a pot and boil while stirring. Pour the egg and sugar juice into the white fungus pot and add a little lard when removing from the pot.

5. Sugarcane porridge: some fresh sugarcane, 50g polished rice. Add 400ml of polished japonica rice and cook it into porridge. Then wash and chop fresh sugarcane, squeeze out about 150ml of juice, add it to the porridge and serve. Take twice a day, morning and evening.

6. Garlic and sugar juice: 15g garlic, 30g sugar. Peel the garlic, mash it, add sugar and about 500ml of boiling water, soak for 5 hours and then take it. Take 1 dose daily, divided into 3 times, for 4 to 5 days.

7. Pine nut porridge: 20g pine nuts, 50g glutinous rice, and appropriate amount of honey. Mash the pine nuts into a paste, add 500ml of water together with the glutinous rice, and cook it over low heat until it becomes a thick porridge. Then add honey and take it warm twice a day, morning and evening.

The above is an introduction to what to do if a child has a cough. After understanding it, parents should not blindly give their babies some cough suppressants when encountering such symptoms. They must understand the cause and then prescribe the right medicine. Only in this way can the disease be completely cured. In addition, if a cough occurs, children must be given more light food. You can give them some pears or cook some rock sugar pears to eat, because pears have a good effect of relieving cough and moistening the lungs. In addition, when necessary, take the baby to the hospital for examination in time.
