Can hepatitis in children be cured?

Hepatitis is an early sign of liver disease. When many people develop hepatitis, they are always mistakenly believed that it is just a common disease. However, when it appears in a lively child, parents should be vigilant. This may be an early manifestation and requires special attention. Whether hepatitis in children can be cured is also what many parents worry about.

Hepatitis may have some early signs, and we can discover them if we pay close attention.

1. A child who used to be full of energy and could not stay idle for a moment suddenly becomes weak all over and looks very tired without any activity. Or the child becomes less energetic, does not like to play, and often wants to sleep.

2. When eating, they are unwilling to eat meat and do not want to eat oily dishes. If parents put greasy dishes or fried foods (such as fried dough sticks, fried cakes, KFC fried chicken, etc.) in front of their children, the children may feel nausea and vomit after eating these foods that they usually like to eat.

3. The child’s urine suddenly becomes darker, as dark as overnight tea; the child’s eyes and skin turn yellow, which is an early sign of acute icteric hepatitis.

4. If the child's digestion is normal but suddenly loses appetite and his stool is unformed, or he has diarrhea and white stool, this indicates that there is bile stasis in the capillary bile ducts in the liver, which is one of the early symptoms of pediatric hepatitis that cannot be ignored.

5. If the child is not given any special food or taking any medicine, and a rash suddenly appears on the child's body and it is itchy, and the medicine is ineffective; the child also feels cold and has a fever, as if he has a cold. This is also an early manifestation of jaundice in acute icteric hepatitis. Parents should not mistake it for a cold and give the child some cold medicine at home. They should take the child to the hospital. After half a month, the child's eyes will start to turn yellow, followed by symptoms of hepatitis such as yellowing of the skin all over the body.

If a child shows the above symptoms, parents should take the child for a liver function test as soon as possible to avoid delay.
