The harm of lymph nodes in children's neck

Children have weak resistance and are prone to minor colds and other illnesses. Would you not care about it? When a lump appears on your child's neck, can you discover it in time and take measures to take him for treatment? If your child has a lump on his neck, it is very likely that he has swollen lymph nodes. Today, the editor will share with you some knowledge about lymph nodes.

Lymph nodes are important immune organs in the human body. A normal person has about 500-600 lymph nodes. Lymph nodes can be divided into superficial lymph nodes and deep lymph nodes according to their location. The lymph nodes examined in actual clinical work are mainly superficial lymph nodes. Deep lymph node enlargement often has no symptoms in the early stages and can only be detected through special tests such as lymphangiography and radionuclide scanning. The diameter of normal lymph nodes is mostly between 0.2 and 0.5 cm. They are often distributed in groups, have a soft texture, a smooth surface, no tenderness, and no adhesion to the surrounding tissues. They are generally difficult to touch except for 1 to 2 nodes that can be occasionally touched in the submandibular, groin, and axillae. Lymph node enlargement may be felt due to inflammation or tumor. Each group of lymph nodes collects lymph from the corresponding drainage area. Understanding the relationship between the two is of great clinical significance for determining the location and nature of the primary lesion.

Lymph node enlargement is very common and often indicates that there is a lesion in the tissues and organs around the lymph nodes. Therefore, enlarged inguinal lymph nodes usually indicate lesions of the reproductive system and abdominal organs around the groin, including systemic ones.

You can take oral anti-inflammatory drugs and antibiotic treatment, such as 0.5 cefuroxime 3-4 times a day; 0.3 clindamycin 3 times a day; 0.2 ofloxacin 2 times a day. If you have a fever or severe pain, you can take antipyretic analgesics such as ibuprofen.

Lymph node enlargement is very common and can occur in people of any age. It can be seen in a variety of diseases, both benign and malignant. Therefore, it is very important to pay attention to the cause of lymph node enlargement and seek medical treatment and diagnosis in time to avoid misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis. That’s all I can tell you today. Not only may your child have swollen or inflamed lymph nodes, but lymph node disease is a common disease and has no age restrictions. If you find that your child or a family member has such symptoms, be sure to seek medical attention in time and don’t wait until danger arises before you regret it. The editor here wishes you good health and a peaceful life.
