Why is my 2-year-old baby's gums red and swollen?

Why is my 2-year-old baby's gums red and swollen?

Children are the treasures of the family, and all parents hope that their children can be healthy, but children's bodies are not yet fully developed, and their intestines are relatively fragile. Some parents have good intentions, but some babies will have red and swollen gums after eating, and mothers don’t know why. Generally speaking, red and swollen gums in children are mostly caused by inflammation. Then let’s see how to reduce fever in babies.

1. Three common symptoms of "getting angry":

1. "Can't eat"

The child refuses to eat, is restless, and even unwilling to drink water, and complains of oral pain; there is fever at the onset of the disease, most of which are high fevers. Single or clustered small blisters can be seen in the mouth, surrounded by red halos, which are prone to form ulcers after breaking and are covered with yellow-white cellulose secretions. Herpes and erosions or ulcers of varying sizes can be seen on the lips, tongue, and buccal mucosa;

2. "Can't stand it"

The child has gastrointestinal disorders, complaining of abdominal distension and discomfort, or abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea and other symptoms;

3. "Can't pull out"

The child is constipated and has a bowel movement every 3 to 7 days. The stool is hard and small in quantity, millet-like in shape, and the defecation process is prolonged or difficult; the baby has a lot of eye mucus and a red rash on the head and face.

2. Seven ways to prevent children from getting angry:

1. It is best to breastfeed the baby after birth and ensure sufficient breast milk. Because breast milk is the most ideal food for babies. It is rich in nutrients and will not cause "heat".

2. For babies who are bottle-fed, you can add some milk cakes to the milk and feed them more fruit juice; children over six months old should consume foods rich in fiber and feed them more boiled water every day. For babies who do not have enough breast milk, milk should be added in time instead of laxatives; increasing the intake of cereals and fiber can cure food-induced constipation.

3. Cultivate good eating and bowel habits in children from an early age;

4. Control your child’s snacks and try to buy less fried and braised foods, as well as other foods that can easily cause “heatiness” for your child. Preschool children should eat less food with shells, such as fried melon seeds or peanuts. Children should be encouraged to eat more vegetables and fruits, and not be allowed to drink cold drinks in summer.

5. For bottle-fed babies who suffer from chronic constipation, the milk powder can be diluted and the amount of sugar can be increased, adding 10 grams of sugar to every 100 ml of milk (under normal circumstances, 8 grams of sugar should be added to every 100 ml of milk). You can feed 1 to 2 bananas every day or drink some honey water every morning, no less than 50 ml each time, with warm water.

The above provides relevant methods to reduce fever, I hope it will be helpful to all parents. Although many babies cannot speak yet, parents can guess what they want to express through their body language. Therefore, parents should let their babies eat more vegetables when feeding them. Spring is also prone to dryness, so let the children drink some pear soup, otherwise they will easily get a sore throat.
