Symptoms of heart disease in children

It is well known that pediatric heart disease is a nightmare for a healthy and happy family, and it is very painful for a pair of healthy parents. In order to avoid the beginning of a nightmare, we, as parents, should learn more about some symptoms of pediatric heart disease, common sense of congenital prevention, and methods of later treatment, so as to make every family happy and reduce unnecessary pain.

1. Heart murmur: Loud, rough murmurs can be heard in most children with congenital heart disease, and severe cases are accompanied by chest tremors. Heart murmurs are often discovered during medical consultation, and some normal children may also have physiological murmurs.

2. Poor physical strength: This is often caused by poor heart function, insufficient blood supply and lack of oxygen. In severe cases, infants may experience feeding difficulties, stop sucking after a few sips, shortness of breath, vomiting and excessive sweating. Older people may be unwilling to move or easily fatigued after activities, accompanied by paroxysmal dyspnea. Those with severe lack of oxygen are prone to sudden fainting or heart failure when breastfeeding, crying or defecating.

3. Children with repeated respiratory infections, bronchitis, and especially pneumonia may be related to improper care or resistance, but there is also the possibility of congenital heart disease. Children with more serious conditions may even have hoarse crying or cry without sound, which is caused by the enlarged heart or blood vessels compressing the recurrent laryngeal nerve.

4. Poor development: The development of children with this disorder is slower than that of normal children, especially those with cyanosis symptoms. Even the intellectual development of some children will be affected.

5. Other symptoms: left atrial enlargement and pulmonary artery compression of the recurrent laryngeal nerve. Children often have symptoms of hoarseness, shortness of breath, and cough since childhood. They may also be accompanied by other malformations or ventricular enlargement and chest deformity. Children with persistent cyanosis often have clubbing of the fingers.

Everyone has already understood the symptoms of pediatric heart disease. If a child shows similar symptoms, he or she should go to the hospital for examination in time and be diagnosed with congenital heart disease. Parents should not be anxious. The most important thing is to go to a regular large hospital for treatment as soon as possible to avoid the condition from getting worse.
