Child coughs and stomachache

Children's coughing will make parents feel very anxious, because children's physical development is not very complete. They are at the most critical period of growth, and the disease will have a great impact on children's growth and development. Some children also feel stomach pain when they cough. Parents cannot judge based on their own experience, but should take their children for a check-up. So, what should we do if our child has a cough and stomachache?

1. When your child coughs, don’t assume it’s due to lack of water, getting angry, or catching a cold;

1. Dry cough with little sputum: drink dandelion, honeysuckle, chrysanthemum and other soaked water, but remember not to drink too much;

2. Abdominal pain and vomiting: Keep moxa at home and apply moxibustion to the child (Zhongwan, Qihai, Guanyuan) with ginger, rubbing the abdomen 200 times each in both directions;

3. If the child has a fever, it is recommended to go to the hospital to draw blood for routine blood tests to determine whether there is a viral infection.

1. White Jade Tofu Soup

Ingredients: 400g old tofu, 50g bamboo fungus, 20g lotus mushroom

Seasoning: chopped green onion, salt, MSG, pepper, chicken essence, sesame oil, soup

Preparation method: Wash the old tofu, cut it into slices, put it into a pot of boiling water and stir-fry it to remove the alkaline taste, then remove it and drain it; then soak the bamboo fungus in warm water and cut it into small sections; wash the lotus mushrooms, cut them into small slices, put them into the pot together with the bamboo fungus and blanch them, then remove them; add fresh soup to the pot, put in the bamboo fungus, tofu, and lotus mushrooms and boil them over high heat, add seasoning until the flavors are absorbed, then put it into a bowl after removing it from the pot, and add chopped green onions as appropriate.

This soup is suitable for children during the recovery period of cough and for consumption when they have a mild cough.

2. Pear and Fig Syrup

Ingredients: 1 autumn pear, 50g Sichuan Fritillary Bulbs, 20g figs

Seasoning: Rock sugar

Preparation: Peel the pear, split it in the middle, remove the core, wash and drain, then cut into large pieces; soak the Fritillaria cirrhosa and figs in clean water until soft, then wash; put the pot on the fire, add appropriate amount of clean water, first put in the pear pieces, Fritillaria cirrhosa and figs, bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to low heat and cook for half an hour, finally add rock sugar and serve after it melts.

Suitable for children in the early stages of coughing, persistent coughing and sneezing.
