Red spots on the roof of the mouth

Red spots on the roof of the mouth

Children have poor physical resistance and low immunity, so they will always have various disease problems. Once the child gets angry or eats the wrong food, it will show up in the child's mouth. When children have red spots on the roof of their mouths, many mothers think they are oral ulcers and do not take them seriously. In fact, there are many reasons why children have red spots on the upper jaw. When a child has red spots on the roof of his mouth, not only the child feels sad, but the mother also feels distressed. What are the red spots on the upper jaw?

1. What is the cause of the red spots on the roof of the child's mouth?

1. The small red spots in the child's mouth may be oral ulcers, a common ulcerative injury disease that occurs in the oral mucosa

2. The small red spots inside the child's mouth may be herpetic pharyngitis, and herpes will appear in the mouth during the onset period. Small blisters will appear on the palate mucosa, becoming 2 to 3 mm in diameter within 2 to 3 days, and then burst to form white or yellow ulcers. After the blisters burst into small ulcers, there will be pain.

3. Small red spots inside a child’s mouth may be caused by herpetic stomatitis, in which herpes will appear in the mouth. Any part of the oral mucosa can be affected, especially on the upper palate and gingival margin near the primary molars. The main manifestations are clusters of small blisters that are easy to break, forming large areas of erosion.

4. Small red spots inside a child’s mouth may be caused by hand, foot and mouth disease, which can damage the oral cavity.

2. Oral care for children

Children may refuse to eat, drool, cry and stay awake due to oral pain. Keep your baby's mouth clean and rinse your mouth with saline before and after meals. For children who cannot rinse their mouths, you can use a cotton swab dipped in saline to gently clean their mouth.

Children's clothes and bedding should be clean, comfortable, soft, and changed frequently. Keep your nails short to prevent scratching the rash. In the early stages of a rash on the hands and feet, you can apply calamine lotion. When herpes forms or breaks, apply 0.5% iodine tincture.

It is better to eat light, warm, delicious, easily digestible, soft liquid or semi-liquid food. Avoid eating cold, spicy, salty and other irritating foods.
