How to wash a newborn baby's butt

We usually take a bath regularly to maintain personal hygiene. Although newborn babies are relatively fragile, we also need to pay attention to hygiene, especially when they wear diapers in the house every day. If they are not washed regularly, they will get prickly heat and the baby will be very uncomfortable. Therefore, cleaning the baby's butt is also an important thing. It is necessary to clean it thoroughly and ensure the baby's safety. Try to clean it when two people are together to avoid accidents.

① In order to make the baby comfortable and not have a red bottom, the protective cover should be changed after the baby urinates or pees. If the baby has a bowel movement, it should be changed in time.

② Before changing diapers, you need to prepare the necessary items. Use a special basin for washing baby's butt, fill it with warm water, and put the items needed for changing diapers (diaper cream, wet wipes, diapers, paper towels or small handkerchiefs for washing baby's butt) in the place where diapers are often changed for easy access. When you are about to go out, put the things you need to change your baby's diaper into your backpack. At this time, you don't need to prepare a basin and water, but you need as many wet wipes as possible.

③Wash your hands, dry them, take out a new diaper and unfold it. Lift your baby's feet gently, put a diaper pad on the baby's buttocks or unfold a new diaper (the adhesive part of the diaper is in the back half) to prevent your baby from peeing when changing.

④ Tear off the adhesive of the dirty diaper. If the baby has poop, pull down the front piece and gently wipe the front side (note that baby girls should be wiped from top to bottom). Then roll up the diaper and wrap the dirty side inside so that it will not stick to the baby's skin or dirty the clean diaper. Throw the dirty diaper into the trash can.

⑤ Pick up the baby and place him on your thighs. Gently lift the baby's legs with one hand and use the other hand to pick up the small towel in the water to wash the baby's butt. (If it is inconvenient to wash the baby's butt outdoors, you can also wipe the baby clean directly with a wet wipe)

⑥After washing, wipe the baby's butt dry, put the baby back on the diaper, and check whether there is any stool between the baby's back and buttocks. If there is, clean it off with a wet wipe.

⑦ Place a new diaper under the baby’s buttocks (the adhesive part of the diaper is in the back half), pull up the front half of the clean diaper to expose the umbilical cord stump. Spread your legs apart moderately, then place the diaper between your legs and adjust the diaper shape naturally

⑧ Stick the waist patch on and adjust it according to the baby's body shape. After putting it on the baby, insert your fingers into the legs. It is best if you can easily insert one finger.

Precautions

Babies generally will not quietly cooperate with you in changing their diapers. Therefore, when changing their diapers, mom or dad can put a piece of clothing on the baby's head to let the baby focus on grabbing the clothes, which will make it easier to change the diaper.
