What to do if a newborn is bitten by a mosquito

In summer, there are the most mosquitoes. At this time, we must take measures to avoid mosquito bites, especially for families with children. Compared with adults, mosquitoes prefer to bite babies. Babies have tender skin and low resistance. They are likely to have skin allergies due to mosquito bites. So what should we do if a newborn is bitten by a mosquito?

Prevention is the most important thing when it comes to mosquito bites. If you have dried mugwort or moxa sticks bought from a pharmacy, you can light them up and use the smoke to fumigate the mosquitoes, which can play a good role in repelling mosquitoes. If you don't have mugwort or moxa sticks, you can dry tangerine peels or orange peels and light them, which can also play a good role in repelling mosquitoes. In addition, the disaster area may have Huoxiang Zhengqi Water or Shidi Shui to prevent heatstroke. Before going to bed, we can mix two bottles of Huoxiang Zhengqi Water or Shidi Shui in a basin of warm water and use this water to scrub the skin. The smell can also repel mosquitoes.

Since we don't have Huoxiang Zhengqi water, we can use local materials. We can pick some fresh mint leaves on the roadside, soak them in warm water, and use the water to scrub the skin. Or we can use the spices we use for cooking at home, which are called star anise in the south. We can boil water with five star anises and use this water to scrub the skin, which can also help to repel mosquitoes. There are also simpler methods, such as finding an empty wine bottle, filling it with about 10 ml of concentrated sugar water, and shaking it to let the sugar water stick to the inner wall of the bottle. Mosquitoes like the sweetness of sugar water very much. When they smell the smell, they will run into the bottle and be killed by the sticky sugar liquid. This can also repel mosquitoes. If you are bitten by mosquitoes, you can also use local materials, such as picking some fresh purslane, fresh dandelion or mint on the roadside, mashing them, and using the herbal paste to rub the mosquito bites, which can have a good effect in relieving itching and inflammation. It is impossible to find so many suitable medicines at once. The fastest and best way is to apply it with your own saliva, which can quickly and mildly relieve itching. If conditions permit, you can apply 10% ammonia water to the local area, or wash it with soapy water, or take some anti-allergic medicine orally. It is also important to remind you not to scratch with your hands, because insect bite dermatitis will become more itchy the more you scratch, and the more itchy it is, the greater the chance of infection and the aggravated allergic reaction, so try not to scratch.

Use the following methods to reduce inflammation and relieve itching:

1. Scrub with salt water first, then apply toothpaste, but don't apply too much, as long as the baby doesn't scratch it with his hands.

2. Wipe it with soap, because soap is an alkaline substance, and mosquitoes like acidic substances. Once neutralized, the itching will disappear quickly.

3. Spread the garlic and use the garlic juice to rub the mosquito bite, but be sure not to let the baby touch it.

4. Vitamin B1 water. Crush vitamin B1 tablets into powder and add water. Rub it on Kang Kang's bag. Mosquitoes will smell the special smell of vitamin B1 and quickly flee.
