One Minute Sex Education

Nowadays, the problem of sexual assault on children occurs frequently. The main reason is that parents are embarrassed to explain sexual knowledge to their children, so that they do not understand the relationship between the two sexes and have no defense against sex. Therefore, they are easily attacked by people with bad intentions. Therefore, parents need to immediately strengthen their children's sex education to avoid tragedies of child sexual abuse.

Parents need to change their previous attitude of being afraid to talk about sex with their children, and they don’t need to regard some of their children’s adult behaviors as a disaster. “For example, there was a child who liked to peek at adults taking a bath when he was over 5 years old. The parents expressed their anxiety to me. In fact, this is a manifestation of the child’s strong curiosity.” As long as children are guided correctly and understand what privacy and self-protection are, these problems will naturally be solved.

Regarding the outside world's concerns about "Will sex education make children mature prematurely?", from the perspective of teaching effectiveness, young children are more receptive to new things. "Starting sex education early makes it easier for children to understand and digest. The older the children are, the harder it is for teachers to explain."

The issue of children's sex education is "urgent". "Where did I come from?" I believe that almost all young parents will inevitably encounter this question. Parents may feel somewhat embarrassed under the innocent and curious eyes of their children. Some parents will choose to throw the question to their other half and say to their children: "Ask your dad (mom)"; some parents may tell their children seriously: they picked the baby up from the trash can, brought him/her home from the hospital, etc.; some parents will use a more literary term, calling it "the fruit of love." But these evasive answers cannot satisfy children's curiosity.

Experts say that in recent years, there have been more and more cases of sexual assault on minors, and the victims are getting younger. There is very little information on sex education for children in the country, so the issue of sex education for children is "urgent." Teaching parents how to answer embarrassing questions like "Where did I come from?" also helps children better understand how to protect themselves from being violated.

Help children identify their own gender, determine their gender role behaviors and emotional responses according to gender, and do not simply reprimand or deceive children when showing their naked bodies and genitals. Teach them a sense of shame, but do not be surprised or hide it. Parents can be open about the differences in male and female sexual organs and the question "Where did I come from" without having to be secretive. Children should be allowed to play with children of the same and opposite sex of the same age, so as to cultivate a natural and healthy attitude in getting along with their peers and build a healthy personality.
