What to do if your four-year-old baby wets the bed

Everyone has experienced bedwetting. This is because the newborn baby's brain and physiological organs are not fully developed, and they have no self-awareness and self-control. As your baby's brain begins to develop, bedwetting will decrease and eventually disappear. When the baby is still wetting the bed at the age of four, many parents become worried. What should parents do if their four-year-old baby still wets the bed?

Bedwetting is one of the problems that many children will encounter. If they cannot effectively control their bodies, bedwetting will occur. If this phenomenon occurs, it is normal and there is no need to worry too much. However, if a child is usually fine and has no habit of bedwetting, and if an older person suddenly wets the bed, it is most likely that there is a problem with your urinary system. You may be unable to control your urination, which leads to bedwetting. It is best to go to the hospital for a check-up. What should you do if your child still wets the bed at the age of four? Here are some treatment methods.

1. To treat bedwetting in children, do not let the child get too excited before going to bed. Let the child go to bed on time every day. Do not tease the child too much before going to bed, do not do strenuous activities or overly exciting games, and do not watch stimulating movies and TV shows, so as to avoid overexcitement of the brain and induce bedwetting at night. Let the child have a stable and quiet sleep.

2. Treatment of bedwetting in children: train the baby's bladder function, encourage the child to drink more water during the day, and try to extend the interval between urinations to increase urine output, train the child to hold urine appropriately, and improve bladder control. When children urinate, encourage them to urinate intermittently and then urinate completely to improve the control of the bladder sphincter.

3. To treat bedwetting in children, make adjustments to their diet. Do not drink beverages or fruit juice or orange juice during the day. Let children drink less water after 4 pm every day. It is best to avoid eating liquid food or drinking a lot of soup for dinner. It is not advisable to eat watermelon, orange, raw pear and other water-rich fruits after meals. Do not drink milk before going to bed to reduce the amount of urine stored in the bladder.

Note:

Bedwetting is a natural reaction in children's growth. We should mainly understand and encourage them, and not beat or scold them, otherwise it will increase the psychological pressure on the baby. Only by guiding the baby better can the baby grow better and happier.
