Should the legs of a newborn be bound?

We all know that many children’s legs will be tied together by the elders in the family right after they are born. However, in today’s country, children’s legs are no longer tied together because parents often fail to control the strength correctly and the limbs of newborns are relatively delicate, so it is easy for the child’s legs to not bleed and get injured, which can cause developmental deformities in the child. So, should newborns’ legs be tied together?

Doctors in the community are not professionals. Some statements may not be scientific. Now, if you tie up the baby's hands and feet after birth, it will not only make the baby feel very uncomfortable, but also directly affect the baby's growth and development. Since the legs of a newborn are spread apart, if you forcibly straighten and tie the baby's legs, it is easy to dislocate the baby's hip bones, which is very dangerous.

As for whether or not one has "bow legs", it has nothing to do with tying up one's hands and feet. "Bow legs" are often caused by malnutrition, lack of vitamin D, calcium, phosphorus and other bone diseases, which are medically known as rickets. If a baby suffers from rickets, it must be treated in time, and it cannot be solved by binding.

We know that when the fetus is in the mother's womb, its arms and legs are curled up and its fists are clenched. He lived in this position in the mother's womb for more than nine months. Therefore, when the baby first comes into the world, it naturally maintains the same posture as it did in the mother's womb. His arms and legs were all stretched out, and he even clenched his fists. As his body grew and developed, his limbs could move freely without restriction, and he gradually changed his previous posture of curling up his limbs. So don't tie him up. You can start giving him calcium supplements after 20 days. My baby was in this position at the beginning, and it took him three months to gradually change. Now he is more than six months old. You don't have to worry. Don't listen to their advice, it will only make your baby suffer.
