Everyone knows that the younger the baby is, the longer the sleep time he needs. Only when the baby gets enough sleep can he grow up more healthily. For a one-month-old baby, he needs to sleep for 20 hours a day. In addition, when the baby is sleeping, the mother should also pay attention to observe and adjust the baby's sleeping position. If the baby can't sleep, you can also use certain methods to promote the baby's sleep.
(1) Newborns: They should sleep for 20 hours a day. During sleep, make sure the baby’s posture is correct. (2) 2 to 3 months: The baby spends about 18 hours a day sleeping except for feeding, defecation and urination. The same observations as above. (3) 4 to 6 months: Sleep three times during the day, each time for about 2 hours, for a total of about 6 hours. Observation is the same as above. (4) 7 to 12 months: Sleep twice during the day, each time for about 2 hours, for a total of about 4 hours. Observation is the same as above. (5) 13 to 18 months: Sleep twice during the day, each time for about 1.5 to 2 hours, for a total of about 3 to 4 hours. Observation is the same as above.
1. Preparation: Feed the baby. A full baby will fall asleep contentedly. Do not tease the baby or make violent movements to make him too excited. Let him stay quietly in his parents' arms for a while. 2. Rocking: Holding your baby and rocking him back and forth can help him fall asleep as soon as possible. Singing a lullaby while rocking will have a better effect. You can also put the baby in a cradle. Note: Do not shake the baby violently to avoid rupture of blood vessels when the brain hits the skull, causing brain injury. 3. Music: Use a soft and soothing piece of music as bedtime music to help your baby fall asleep. You can choose music that your baby has listened to in "Fetal University". 4. Wrap your baby: Wrapping your baby in a blanket or sheet can make him feel safe and prevent him from waking himself up by moving his limbs or twisting, allowing him to sleep better. 5. Use a pacifier: Babies can get comfort from sucking. If you are worried that your baby will become dependent on the pacifier in the future, you can let him use it until 3 months, as it is easier to quit at this age. 6. Massage: Massaging your baby's body in a certain rhythm can help him fall asleep. Note: Do not change the rhythm and do not stop massaging before your baby falls asleep.
In fact, it is understandable that newborn babies have a reversed day and night cycle. The baby has been living in the mother's belly for so long without distinction between day and night, so it takes some time for them to adapt to the phenomenon of day and night after birth. The mother should be patient about this. In fact, the baby will no longer be like this after a few weeks. To help your baby adapt to the "daytime stage", you can put your baby in a stroller to sleep during the day and take your baby out for a walk. If you sleep in your room, there is no need to dim the lights or lower the volume. In addition, mothers can also limit their baby's daytime sleep time to no more than 3-4 hours at a time. Don't let your baby sleep after 5 or 6 in the afternoon. When the baby wakes up after a nap, play with him to make him excited. At night, the baby will be tired and fall asleep naturally. If it is difficult to wake the baby, you can help him/her take off his/her clothes, stroke his/her face, or tickle the soles of his/her feet. When the baby is slightly awake, you can further stimulate his reaction by talking or bringing toys within his field of vision. |
