What should not be eaten if the lateral ventricle is enlarged

What should not be eaten if the lateral ventricle is enlarged

If enlarged ventricles are detected during pregnancy, doctors always say it is very serious. In fact, ventriculomegaly is a relatively serious disease. Ventriculomegaly is actually the accumulation of fluid in the lateral ventricles. When the width of the lateral ventricles increases to 10mm, it is called ventriculomegaly. If the fetus is found to have enlarged lateral ventricles, we have to consider whether it is caused by hydrocephalus. If it is serious, induced labor may be required. So what should you not eat if you have enlarged lateral ventricles?

Fetuses with enlarged lateral ventricles should avoid spicy and irritating foods. In addition, pregnant women should also avoid greasy foods, tobacco and alcohol.

reason:

Fetal lateral ventriculomegaly is caused by excessive accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricular system, resulting in the expansion of the ventricular system. It is an intracranial manifestation of fetal central nervous system abnormalities and other body system abnormalities. There is generally no other treatment method and it can only be absorbed by itself as the fetus develops. Therefore, there are no requirements for the diet of pregnant women. Just follow normal eating habits during pregnancy. What you cannot eat during pregnancy, you cannot eat at this time.

The following foods should not be eaten by fetuses with enlarged lateral ventricles:

1. Spicy food. Mustard, mountain

Spicy foods such as vegetables, peppers, curry, etc. are irritating to pregnant women, so they should be eaten less or preferably not at all.

2. Cold drinks. Cold food can stimulate the rectum, thereby causing uterine congestion and bringing adverse consequences to pregnancy. Therefore, pregnant women are best not to eat cold drinks and drink less cold boiled water. In addition, pregnant women should not consume beverages because they contain additives and preservatives.

3. Longan. Although longan has the effects of replenishing blood and calming the mind, nourishing blood and benefiting the spleen, it is too warm in nature. Not only can it not protect the fetus after eating it, but it is easy to experience symptoms of threatened abortion such as spotting and abdominal pain. Therefore, pregnant women should not eat longan.

4. Aquatic products such as crabs and turtles. These foods have the effect of softening and activating hard masses, and eating them can cause bleeding and miscarriage in early pregnancy.

5. Alcohol and cigarettes. They have a great impact on the health of pregnant women and fetuses, so they should be prohibited during pregnancy.

6. Other foods. Pregnant women should not eat foods such as coix seed, purslane, hawthorn, chocolate, etc.
