When it is confirmed that your baby has jaundice, you need to carry out further examinations to find out whether the jaundice in your baby is caused by pathological reasons or physiological reasons. If it is a physiological reason, parents only need to take their babies to bask in the sun and the condition will improve. In addition, they should also supplement their bodies with more vitamins and calories during this period, which can also improve the condition. 1. Supplement sufficient calories, vitamins, essential amino acids and fatty acids. 2. Use medication reasonably according to the cause of the disease. 3. Surgery: Surgery is used when bile duct obstruction is caused by tumors or stones. 5. Treatment of neonatal jaundice: Phototherapy should be used for neonatal jaundice. Phototherapy can change the chemical structure of bilirubin, making it easily soluble in water and excreted by the kidneys. (1) Care before phototherapy : Keep the phototherapy box in a functional state; preheat before use, and put the child in when the temperature in the phototherapy device rises to an appropriate temperature, and keep the temperature stable, not too high or too low; clean the child's skin, avoid applying oil or powder, cut the nails short, keep the child naked, wear a diaper, cover the eyes with an opaque eye mask or film, and write down the bed number, name, hospitalization number, and the start time of phototherapy. (2) Care during phototherapy : Maintain the transparency of the phototherapy box glass. Vomiting, sweating, urine and other dirt from children should be cleaned up in time to avoid affecting the effect of phototherapy; pay attention to observe and adjust the temperature in the phototherapy box to keep the child at a neutral temperature, and try to perform nursing operations in the phototherapy box; check the position of the eye mask at least every 1 hour to keep it completely covered to protect the retina. Observe the child for adverse reactions to phototherapy such as irritability, high fever, rash, skin redness and diarrhea. These should be dealt with in a timely manner and recorded to prevent the occurrence of kernicterus; measure body temperature every 8 hours and follow routine fever care treatment for high fever; feed the child sugar water between two feedings if the child cries. (3) Post-phototherapy care : After the end of phototherapy, continue to observe the disappearance of jaundice, bowel movements, and skin damage and rashes; re-check the child's bed number, name, hospitalization number, and the time when phototherapy stopped, and record the phototherapy time; clean and disinfect the phototherapy box, test the function of the phototherapy box, and keep it in standby mode. |
