How to train your baby to suck milk

It is very wrong for babies to always like to suck on just one nipple. Not only is it bad for the mother's nipples, but sucking milk is also very difficult. Breast milk is very good for babies and it is the most nutritious. If the baby only sucks the nipple for a long time, it will cause the mother's breasts to sag, the nipples to protrude particularly obviously, and it will be very painful. The correct way to do it is to suck in the areola as well, which makes it much easier to suck milk.

When a child experiences this condition, it is mostly due to poor connection. When the child is sucking breast milk, the child must also hold the areola in his mouth so that the milk can be sucked out. People like to be lazy. It takes much more effort for a child to suck breast milk than to suck from a bottle, so children will be lazy and not like to suck breast milk. Now the only way to get used to it is to insist on letting the child suck breast milk.

In this case, mixed feeding is possible. However, this approach will also cause the child to have indigestion and other phenomena. Generally speaking, the more the child sucks, the more milk there is. Try to let the child suck, not much at first, but slowly more and more. If there is really not much, then it is recommended that you give up breastfeeding. Avoid the child getting more irritated due to not being able to suck. There are many milk powders now, you can go to the supermarket to have a look. Shengyuan, Wandashan, Dumex, etc. are all good. And the milk powder will contain bovine colostrum to increase the child's resistance.

The best food for babies is breast milk. If the baby refuses to drink milk, it may be that the mother's breast milk secretion is not very good. Because the baby's sucking ability is relatively weak and the mother's milk secretion is not very good, the baby will not be able to drink milk and will cry. At this time, the mother can squeeze the breast with her hands, which will make the milk flow into the baby's mouth more smoothly. The baby eats and sleeps, which may also be because the mother's milk supply is not enough. The baby can feed from both sides in turn. If the baby wants to sleep, the mother can tap the soles of the baby's feet or pinch the earlobes to wake the baby up to continue drinking milk.

Regarding the situation you described, it will increase your possibility of suffering from acute mastitis. Bacteria will invade your breasts through the damaged areas, causing acute inflammation. In this case, it is recommended that you let your child develop good breastfeeding habits. In addition, you should wash your nipples with warm water before breastfeeding, and also wash them after feeding.
