Myopia in children

Myopia in children

If your child tells you that he can't see objects far away clearly and has symptoms such as dry eyes, this phenomenon will become more and more serious if you do not pay attention to it. If your child is nearsighted, it will affect his study, his mood, and even his normal life. So, why do children become nearsighted? How to treat myopia in children? Is there any way to prevent children from becoming myopic?

1.What is the reason?

If your child is nearsighted, his eyeball is slightly longer than normal from front to back. The light rays that make up the image he sees are focused in front of his retina. They should focus directly on it. When this happens, distant objects appear blurry.

Progressive myopia or nearsightedness is mostly hereditary. So he got it from you and his parents. This can make the situation worse if he uses his eyes for detailed or close work, like a lot of reading or playing games on a phone or tablet.

3.Can myopia be prevented?

Because it is often inherited, it is impossible to prevent it completely. However, there are steps you can take to minimize its impact. Make sure your child gets an eye exam early, especially if you have a family history of nearsightedness or other eye problems. NOTE: If he has trouble seeing details when he's more than a few feet away at school or when watching TV at a standard distance, it may be time for an eye exam.
