Can children with tics be cured?

Tourette syndrome is actually a chronic disease in children. Many parents feel at a loss when faced with this problem. In the face of this situation, the most important thing is for parents to help their children correct it in their lives, develop a reasonable schedule, and ensure that their children get enough rest and sleep.

1. Help your child develop a reasonable schedule, avoid overwork, and get enough sleep;

2. In the family environment, avoid using sensitive language to directly describe the symptoms of the child;

3. When the child is twitching, ignore it and turn a blind eye;

4. Give children more encouragement, cultivate their self-confidence and relieve stress;

5. Do not allow children to participate in strenuous exercise, such as military training, long-distance running, competitive sports activities and heavy physical activities;

6. The study time should not be too long;

7. Communicate with school teachers to avoid giving sensitive language criticism to children, and cooperate well with the education of children during treatment;

8. Pay attention to your diet during treatment. Do not eat greasy, cold, or high-lead foods. Do not eat spicy food, seafood, instant noodles, or puffed foods during medication. Eat light and delicious food and take appropriate nutritional supplements.

9. During the season change period, especially spring and autumn, colds are most prevalent. Attention should be paid to the undressing and dressing of children to prevent colds, because colds can easily cause relapses or recurrence and aggravation of symptoms in children.

10. The time for watching TV should not exceed half an hour a day, and you should not watch overly intense or stimulating pictures. People with serious illnesses should avoid watching TV. Avoid using the computer. If you really need to study, each time you use the computer should not exceed half an hour. Excessive use of the computer or playing games is strictly prohibited.
