Pit and fissure sealing is a method of preventing tooth decay through the steps of cleaning teeth, acid etching, rinsing and drying, applying sealant and curing. The materials that play a major role are usually polymer synthetic materials, such as hydrogen-based acrylates, polyamines, etc. These materials are safe polymer materials with no toxic side effects.
